It has 21 vitamins and minerals , calcium and vitamin D and also protein so very good for you. It's great for on the go or enjoying at home.

I felt like I was drinking regular chocolate milk except with all of the great essentials and protein as a bonus. I will be adding this to my shopping list.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was originally drawn in by the 10 grams of protein, 21 vitamins & minerals, antioxidants that are prominent on the front. I chilled the drink and had it this morning. Upon first taste, it’s thick. It’s tastes like the leftover milk at the bottom of a bowl of sugary cereal. Once you are passed that, you are hit with the after taste of minerals and vitamins. The sugar content is overpowering. I turned the bottle over to see 41 grams of sugar!! 15 grams of that is added sugars with 0 fiber!!! I would much rather take a vitamin in the morning to get my daily dose than drink this sugary syrup. No thank you. Not for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received Carnation Breakfast Essentials in Rich Milk Chocolate in exchange for my honest review. I mixed the powder according to the directions on the packet using 2% milk. I stirred the mixture for about a minute and most of it dissolved pretty easily. It tasted like chocolate milk and didn’t have any “vitamin” taste to it. There were some small clumps of powder still in the milk that I could taste while drinking. After drinking it, I noticed that some of the chocolate powder didn’t get mixed very well because the bottom of my glass was coated. Maybe If I had a milk frother this would have been mixed better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Me and my wife are trying to lose weight and this is an amazing supplement that provides with the right nutrition and also cuts calories, the best part about it is it’s tasty and can drink it without making a face also it keeps you full for a while so if your watching you calories then I would definitely recommend this to you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great, quick and easy way to start the morning and ensure your kids and/or yourself get vitamins in. The mix packets are easy to open and stir in. There were a few tiny clumps that didn't dissolve well but overall I didn't notice any odd texture when drinking it so it was fine. My youngest likes chocolate and enjoyed the flavor. I thought it could use a tad bit more chocolate. Overall, still delicious.

I am deeply saddened by the apparent discontinuation of Classic Chocolate Malt (I still call it Instant Breakfast). I have been drinking this since I was in high school, and I am now in my mid 60’s. I’m sure the product manager that put together this new brand strategy though it was a good idea to discontinue this flavor. It is not. This was by far the best flavor, and Chocolate is not an acceptable substitute. Please bring it back.
