Same quality as the grocery store but a bit less expensive, except when the grocery store has them on sale. Right now our grocery store has these on sale for about the same as the regular Sam's price. Right now Sam's also has them on sale which makes this a better bargain. When the sale on this ends at Sam's, it may still be cheaper at the grocery store if they have a sale going on.

Purchased this milk as a substitute for dry milk because every package of dry milk arrived sliced open. This milk is ready to go. We use it with a little water on cereal, straight on coffee, and of course baking. AND it can be use to make butter milk.

Where I live, it is hard to get good milk during the ongoing pandemic. We use a grocery pickup/delivery service, but the 'shoppers' (apparently) don't pay attention to product expiration dates and/or don't keep refrigerated items cold, so regular milk that we have gotten frequently goes bad quickly, sometimes even before the marked expiration date. So we bought this evaporated milk primarily to use with instant oatmeal (I'm 83, and I remember my parents using evaporated milk of a different brand name for coffee creamer when I was a kid.) Mixed 50/50 with water, this Carnation Evaporated Milk makes our oatmeal even better than with regular milk.

A must have for everyone DESI chai drinker. Well, that's what my husband says so it must be true. I'm quite sure it is allowed to be used by non-DESI chai drinkers, he just believes he's cornered the market on this product. I say drink to your hearts content. Let that chai steep with a nice bit of carnation milk and a wee of sugar and slurp until you've annoyed your neighbor.

This is a brand that I have used for about 40 years, if not longer. My Mom used it as well. You can always count on excellent quality and a good price. I use it in recipes that call for milk. Milk will curdle but Carnation doesn’t. Try it, you’ll like it. Keep it in your pantry, comes in handy quite a bit.

Around for generations of cooks to use Carnation evaporated milk is my go to & no other brand can compares. My grandmother used it, my Mother uses it, I use it and my Daughter uses it. Stay, don’t stray from the generational Carnation Milk proven record and great for your recipes.

I have used Carnation evaporated milk for as long as I can remember, and it hasn't changed it quality nor taste. It is so rich it can be frozen then whipped like whipping cream. Back in the 60's I used to make Kool-Aid pies for my boys by freezing, adding the Kook-Aid and sugar and it was a favorite. I've tried other cheaper brands, but they are yellow, less taste and just not the quality.

I love the convenience of these. We rarely use milk, so buying a gallon or quart goes to waste. We use the cans when we need them, and they last for a good amount of time. We keep them on hand, so we don't have to run to the store every time we need milk.

We use this to make iced lattes or iced mochas. By using the denser milk, the ice does not dilute the espresso flavor as much. The water in the ice just compensates for the liquid evaporated from the milk. If your power ever does out during/after a storm, this stuff does not need refrigeration until opening. That's when we use it for cereal and dipping cookies. The sweetened evaporated milk makes great Vietnamese coffee.

I've always wondered why this brand is more expensive than other brands so I did a little taste test. It actually has a bit better flavor Than a generic brand and it is rbst free. So perhaps higher quality but I don't know if it justifies the price for me. This is definitely the best price I've seen though.
