Ever since I was a little kid, the only thing I liked on my sandwiches was Hellmans. Now, as an adult, it is still the only thing I use on my sandwiches, in my potato salad and any other salad I make. It is just not as good with any other mayonnaise!

That great taste and perfect consistency that made it stand out far beyond the rest, has gone. Ok. These things happen. I know a little about marketing, product placement and profits. But besides that, I know one or two things about food. So, what came in place is just horrifying and utterly mediocre. When I want mediocre mayonnaise I will go to any supermarket and buy any brand there is. That situation happens exactly once a year and in all other cases it's simple: I make it myself or I use Hellmans. I did for years and years and a lot of folk I know with me. I have read some of the reviews here and yes, first time I noticed trouble was a glass jar instead of a plastic one (here in Europe that is) and immediately after opening: the consistency. I thought it had gone bad. Sadly it was worse than that: change of recipe. Never change a winning team. Simple as that. The new recipe does not have any benefits or unique features for your customers. I know for a fact that overseas customers think exactly the same (Holland, Germany, Belgium). The product you have now does not stand out in any way. Hope this helps and all the best!

I think Hellmann's Creamy Balsamic is simply fantastic! I eat it on wheat saltine crackers as a treat, and on hard boiled eggs. My guess is that there must be a lot of other new recipes for such a dressing, and offering some might help cooks put it to best use. I don't consider it mayonaise: it is too good to be simply mayo. In fact, if I were Hellmann's, I would give it a distinctive label so it would not appear to be just another mayo on the shelf. (Please understand that I also think Hellmann's makes the best regular mayonaise.)

Why did you change formulas? Hellmans has been my mayo over 50 years. Now the texture is runny, taste is different and goes bad sooner. I really hope this changes, and you go back to the original recipe. In the mean time I'm learning to love mustard and the weight I'm loosing.

The only mayonnaise I have ever used or liked was Hellmann's. Now, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO IT?? It's so different, it tastes terrible and the texture is horrible! I will either find a different mayonnaise to buy now or I will do without it entirely. Please. If you value your customers AT ALL, go back to your original ingredients and recipe! If you're using soy, Stop. If you're using something else that's different, stop. Your new formula is useless.

I think Hellmann's can be used for anything at all. The one that my family was amazed about is how i spred the mayo all over my whole turkey or chicken before putting in the oven, it makes such a nice brown color and crunch to the skin. Other than that I use it for everything .........

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mayonnaise is very creamy and tastes very good, quite similar to the mayo I make at home with my mixer. The color is rather pale, but that's a good sign, especially as there aren't a plethora of colorants to hide the misery. Despite the fact that I can leave it out of the fridge, I prefer cold mayo, and in a way it reassures me to know that it's cold at these temperatures. The plus is the "free-range hen" label, which is not specified on other brands.

What happened to the great taste of my hellman's? I used to loved licked the spoon after I made a salad or the knife after I made a sandwich. The flavor has changed so much that I may try another mayonaise. I have been using Hellman's for over 60yrs.

I have always loved the taste of Hellman’s. I use no other. The taste has a taste where you need more on your sandwich. It makes everything taste better. I have been tricked before with one brand on a piece of bread and Hellman’s on another. Of course I proved to them I knew the difference.
