I recently received one of the new squeeze bottles to review . We already loved the taste of Hellmanns so the question for us was big jar or squeese bottle . I have to say after using the squeese bottle I will be purchusing it . It was much more convenient for picnics / tailgating it also makes me feel a better about our 10 and 12 year old making their own sandwichs since they have no need to use a knife. It seems to stay fresher in the fridge since we are not taking the top off and on ..less transfer of foods since there is no "dipping" of anything in the jar . Money wise for us I would be willing to pay a little more for the pro's of using a squeese bottle .

But after receiving a free bottle by @influenster from @Hellmanns,I decided to give Hellmanns a try. The new bottle design is a great new feature, and I will be using this product again! Truly having a no-mess design is something this mom loves!

The creamy texture and rich flavor makes any sandwich I create even more delicious. This mayo has become a staple in my kitchen. It's clear that Hellmann's uses high-quality ingredients, and the difference is really noticeable. As for the packaging, I'm very pleased with the fact that this jar is made from 100% recycled plastic; I believe that is a fantastic step towards sustainability for a widely known brand like Hellmann's. Also, this mayonnaise is gluten free which is great for the people in my family that have gluten sensitivities. It's wonderful to have a product that caters to dietary needs without compromising on taste. I highly recommend it!

I recently had tried some Hellmann's original mayo. I had never used it before. It is so much better than any of the other brands including house brand and national. I can't believe the difference it makes in my recipes. I wish I had used Hellmann's all these years! It is now my go to brand.

It's said that misery loves company - and in this instance, I have a LOT of company - but it is of little consolation to my family. I am happy, however, to see that it isn't just my taste buds gone awry. After using Hellman's exclusively and religiously touting its superiority for some 45+ years, I will no longer buy it, use it nor recommend it. I, too, notice the changes in flavor, consistency and shelf stability and, sadly, Hellman's is no longer the product I've loved for a lifetime. Whether the changes were due to cost considerations, availability of raw materials, or changes in manufacturing processes makes no difference. I feel relatively certain the new formula was never presented to an independent focus group of dedicated Hellman's users. With all due respect, sometimes change is not for the better, as Coke discovered, and we must go back and reassess our actions. It appears that a legion of former Hellman's users, myself included, sincerely hope you'll do just that and bring back our beloved REAL mayonnaise.

The only mayonnaise that was ever in our house when I grew up in the late 30s, 40s, and early 50s was Hellmann's, so little wonder that it is the only brand ever in my house. I've tasted others, but nothing favorably compares to Hellmann's. Guess which brand is in my children's and grandchildren's homes? :) I don't remember exactly when, but I believe a subtle change was made in the ingredients and it's not one that we like. It doesn't now have the distinctly fresh, and specific Hellmann's unique flavor. The consistency is the same, so I don't understand the reviews saying it's runny or has a tendency to separate and not be thick and creamy. I buy only the (plastic now) jars, not the squeeze bottle type. Also, I don't buy the new Olive Oil, Light, Balsamic, etc. types, as I like only the Original Hellmann's I grew up with. This is the one that I notice a slight and unfavorable taste in, yet it still beats any other brand on the market. It is because of a change in ingredients, such as a different oil, or the GMO someone mentioned in reviews? Whatever it is, it detracts from the Original, which means it isn't TRULY the "Original." This is the only reason I don't give it five stars. Like so many have recommended here, change it back to what it was during the decades I grew up in, and then you will have the same mayonnaise that is passed down through generations. That's built-in marketing that doesn't cost you a dime! It wouldn't be very smart to interfere with that in any way now, would it? Loyalty like this can't be bought; it comes from consistency of product that people like. People will desert the brand very quickly if it changes in any way they don't like. Have the Hellmann's marketing department read every review on this board. It means survival in today's fickle shopping universe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought this would get really messy after using a few times, but it doesn't. It squeezes out whatever amount you need and the rest stays in the bottle. Perfect for sandwiches, toppings and salads. No mess here!

My family and I have been eating Hellmann's mayo for decades! Never ate any other mayo...didn't HAVE to. Hellmann's WAS the best. As you all know by now, the recipe has changed and for the worse. Told my sister in law not to bother making cole slaw anymore, it doesn't taste good with the new recipe. I no longer make potato salad either and for the same reason. There goes GREAT sandwiches now too! Threw out what we had in the fridge and returned to the store what was on the shelf in the pantry. Never thought I'd live long enough to see such an american tradition go bad...guess I'll just have to be grateful i've lived so long! LOL Hopefully, they're staging a come back of the original recipe...like Coke did when they made their mistake!
