The last two containers of Hellman's came in plastic containers. I don't know if it is the plastic giving Hellman's the bad taste or not but something is wrong. I have now decided to try another brand because I can't take the taste anymore. What used to be my favorite is now on the naughty list.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hellman's isn't as good as I remember when I was a kid--when my dad used it exclusively for our tuna sandwiches. The texture is a bit on the soupy side, and it has a pronounced oiliness to it, which is somewhat off-putting. The flavor isn't bad, but it's just kind of bland.

Been using Hellmann's for 12 years. Bought at this time in the squeeze bottle like I normally do and it looks fine when you apply it to the bread but after a few minutes the bread is disgustingly wet and the sandwich starts leaking white watery goo. It's gross and unappealing. I don't know why or how or what they did but I won't be buying Hellmann's anymore after this. Time to start trying out other real mayonnaises.

It is great to be able to use the bottle without shaking down the mayo or having unexpectedly squirt out all over things. I recently received one of the new squeeze bottles to review . We already loved the taste of Hellmanns so the question for us was big jar or squeese bottle . I have to say after using the squeese bottle I will be purchusing it . It was much more convenient for picnics / tailgating it also makes me feel a better about our 10 and 12 year old making their own sandwichs since they have no need to use a knife. It seems to stay fresher in the fridge since we are not taking the top off and on ..less transfer of foods since there is no "dipping" of anything in the jar . Money wise for us I would be willing to pay a little more for the pro's of using a squeese bottle .

Recently found out from a friend that their doctor recommended it, because they were diagnosed with diabetes.  It doesn't have sugar, like a lot of of "dressing" types do.  So, that is now my best reason to recommend it for a healthier choice.  I personally happen to like the taste and texture of it. Grew up with it and have tried others over the years, but they are never the same.  This also happens to cook better, when using it in recipes. I've heard you can bake with it too, but I haven't tried any recipes with it, yet.

Over the last year I noticed that I can no longer eat your mayo. I have opened a number of jars and I just don't like the taste anymore. I used to love mayo and only ever bought hellmanns. Now I am fine with the packets I get at the burger places, but when I use it out of the jar the taste I used to like isn't there anymore. Did something change or did my taste change? Is my body telling me not to eat it anymore? I have not tried another brand yet because I can't afford to throw out food.

Hellmann's is and has always been the only Mayo for my family. I get rave reviews on my potato salad and macaroni salad all of the time and I attribute it to using only Hellmann's. My husband's favorite lunch is a bologna sandwich made with Hellmann's. He is currently in the later stages of Alzheimers and he doesn't talk much, but he can tell if his sandwich doesn't have Hellmann's on it.

My grandmother started me using Hellmann's in the sixties when teaching the grandsons to cook, and gave me this guide to salad making that she had. Hellmann's was in her house, my parents house, and now through the years - my house. I'm handing this over to my daughter who agrees - Hellmann's or nothing!
