Hellmans, you changed something! It's thinner/runnier, it doesn't taste as rich and there's some odd different, almost chemical, taste. Why did you change a recipe that's worked for so long? If you were trying to save a couple pennies per jar, good luck with that. I know you have lost a life-long consumer because I won't be buying Hellmans anymore. (It's actually BestFoods out here)

So I have a really bad review to write... my fridge has been literally stinking the worst smell you could ever imagine, the kids, my husband, we just couldn’t figure out what was going on, I cleaned all the food containers, shelves, everything, and the fridge still stunk...! I couldn’t have people over at the house, BECAUSE OF MY FRIGDE! Threw everything out of the freezer as well thinking that that might be it...!NOPE! Hundreds and hundreds of dollars later tossed in the garbage, when I decided to make a tuna sandwich and grabbed the mayo, MAN OH MAN! The mayo was the grossest thing I have ever seen! It was not expired and it smelled like a dead animal! I am SO grossed out but so glad I finally found what made my fridge stink, NEVER EVER buying a Hellman’s product ever again! DO NOT put that thing in your body please!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new bottle makes it a lot easier to store in the refrigerator. It is also easier to get the mayonnaise out of the container. Figuring out the portion size might be a little more difficult, though.

Everything tastes BETTER with Hellmans. The ONLY kind I buy. I use it with ALL my HOMEMADE dishes from Mac,potato,egg,tuna salad,dressing. Nothing else will do. If I go to someone else’s house or out to eat I can tell IMMEDIATELY it’s NOT Hellmans. It tastes yucky & then I don’t eat it. Hellmans RULES

I just can't believe you've ruined my former favorite Mayo. I'm 57 and Hellmann's has been my preferred Mayo all my life. There was nothing else like it with it's firm eggy texture that separated when you stuck your knife into the jar. Now it's just a soupy crème that is indistinguishable from Kraft, a product I've always hated and have never purchased. Now, there's no difference, I might as well buy that. The first time I noticed the difference it was when I had purchased a jar of Hellmann's light so I thought maybe it was just a change in that type. Next time, I purchased the original and found to my dismay that it was also unrecognizable. I thought it was a temporary fluke but have found now, over the past year, that sadly, you have obviously made some change in the recipe or the process. I mourn the loss and will be trying other brands since it seems they are all the same awful texture. You have lost my lifelong loyalty until and unless you change it back. What a horrible decision someone made here. :(

I have noticed a change for awhile now. I used to love the taste of the mayo by itself, but now it seems to taste more like Miracle Whip :( I hate the tanginess of MW and I am sad to taste that in Best Foods Mayonnaise. NOT the same mayo I used to love!

I have the squeeze bottle and find it so convenient and a great size for the fridge door. I like that you just squeeze to apply it to sandwiches or for sauces. I like that it is not an open jar that can get contaminated, which means it lasts way longer. It has a nice taste, is not too sweet compared to other sandwich mayo sauces, and is really tasty in veggie dip mixes. 

I grew up on Hellmann's and I'll use it till the end of time. No other mayonnaise can compare. Just the thought of a fresh tomato sandwich on homemade Italian bread smothered with Hellman's rock my world. I won't eat anyone's potato salad unless it is made with Hellman's. It's that delightful creaminess and eggy taste that does it all. Whatever spices are added just does the trick. Never, ever change your recipe. I use Hellman's on just about everything. While baking chicken, making devilled eggs, creating creamy dressings and dips, there's nothing like a dab of Hellman's. My favorite use is making my Homemade Dill Dip with Hellman's Mayonnaise, Sour Cream, Dill Weed, Garlic and Onion Powder and Pickle juice. It has been such a crowd pleaser whether using fresh vegetables, chips, crackers or toasted baguettes. I also put it in my mashed potatoes. As I said before, never change your recipe.

I grew up only a few blocks from Mr. & Mrs. Richard Hellmann, and he used to tell us about his mother making the mayonnaise and he selling it on the street corner. Have always used it, and had to send it to my sister out west, until we realized that it was "Best" west of the Rockies. There's nothing with which to compare, as I've tried them all, and Hellmann's is the Best. I insisted that my local Deli change or I wouldn't continue patronizing, after tasting their off brand, and they did.
