My mother-in-law made the all time BEST ever potato salad !!!! She shared her recipe with anyone that asked. She would proudly reply “ I follow the recipe on the Hellman’s original real mayo jar “ . Sadly, Granny passed away in 2013. Her grandkid & great grandkids still ask for Granny’s potato salad recipe - I now tell them the secret is the Hellmann’s !!!!

Grew up on Hellmann's. Love the taste and use it in my cooking. I've tried others', but they don't have the creamy rich taste of Hellmann's. My children and grandchildren all stand by Hellmann's Mayonnaise. Tried the Crusted Chicken, and also used the recipe on fish, love it!

Hellmans/Best Foods says they use the same ingredients as they have for years...so CHANGE them so you are not using synthetic food sources! The end product is NOT the same-it is different in color and taste. I, as many others, have been using Best Foods/Hellmans for many years. It is the only mayo our family bought, and I grew up on it. All your customers want is REAL food! Time to make my own mayo. We are going to have to go back to making/growing everything ourselves and bartering with neighbors for things we don't have. When the ingredient is synthetic (bio-engineered) we have no way of knowing exactly what has been added. There is no reason to bio-engineer anything except for control. Until companies care more about their customers concerns than their pocketbooks, we will need to be very aware and refuse until they realize that we are their pocketbook.

I used to be able to have Hellman's Mayonnaise before I developed an allergy to citrus. Hellman's has always had tasty sauces, but they add lemon juice in them all now so I can only have sauces from it's competition brand. My family would prefer Hellman's mayo in our house, but because of me, they accept that we only have the other brand in. The texture of this mayo is thick and perfect on chips!

There is no other mayo that is better. I think this is one of those products that you find a brand you like and you don't switch. I love the taste and the texture of this. I cannot make a sandwich without this mayo on it. You can taste the flavor vs the taste of oil with the store brand.

Hellmann's has been my go to mayo - for all my recipes and sandwich spreads - not anymore. In the last six months my recipes no longer come out the same. Hellmann's in the large jar has a looser consistency and different texture than the smaller jars. The difference became noticeable to others. I bought new jars (thinking the other had some how been compromised at the store, i.e. exposed to the heat or cold) and had the same problem. Because I use Hellmann's so much I continued to investigate what the problem may be. There appears to be an actual difference in ingredient proportions. Some jars have a higher percentage and quantity of cholesterol - 5mg vs 10 mg. The jars with the lower cholesterol (eggs?) is runny/watery and has a "twang" somewhat bitter saltier(?) taste. Is there a reasons that some of the products packaged as "Real Mayonnaise Made with Cage Free Eggs" actually have different recipes? Want the original back!

I have used Hellman's Light mayo for years. The last jar I bought is awful. It is bland and has not taste at all. If you have changed your recipe you have made a mistake. I threw out half of the jar and have bought another brand. Never thought I'd do that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hellman's is the best mayonnaise, it just has the perfect texture and tang. I always use it for sandwiches and just made a great dip with it. Other mayos can't compare. I always get Hellman's for its flavor and smooth thickness.

I thought it was me only until I read all of these other remarks, what did you do to the old Real Hellmans Mayonnaise? It is more thin than before and not as rich and tasty like before when you could buy the 32 oz jar, Please go back to the original size and taste.

My best friend passed away recently. She would always make this treat for me after work. 1. Take pear halves and dry with paper towel. 2. Dollop a bit of mayo in the pit indent. 3. Add a maraschino cherry on top of the mayo. Sprinkle with some grated cheddar cheese. Enjoy
