If there is one ingredient I cannot be without in my house it is Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise. I use it in so many recipes -- from savory lunches to breakfast sandwiches -- but nothing mixes like Hellmann's. If you try to use anything else on say a lobster or shrimp roll, or especially something like chicken or ham salad, you will taste the different immediately. I also use Hellmann's in several hot recipes, including this incredible warm blue cheese dip that is great by itself, but excellent on chicken sandwiches with a little hot sauce and celery. The other place Hellmann's really shines in my cooking is to accent otherwise bland combinations. For example, I make five different kinds of dinner roll sliders and even on the ones you'd never think to add mayo, like the Asian beef sliders, adding a dollop of Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise gives it more depth. The other best thing I like about using the Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise as opposed to any other condiment is how well it holds other flavors and marries with other ingredients. Over the past few decades, I've been inspired to make at least 20 different kinds of spreads using it as a base. I first became inspired to use it with shredded basil, Worcestershire sauce and kosher salt like an herbed aioli, but as the years have unfolded I've discovered all sorts of other amazing combos, like hot sauce spiced mayo for homemade faux sushi rolls, and even mixing it with extra virgin olive oil, Dijon mustard, lemon, salt and pepper for THE perfect accompaniment to French fries. It is a must-have for almost any salad dressing, especially those you can use for dipping. Another amazing thing about Hellmann's Real Mayo is how good it is for leftovers. Even leftover holiday dishes you don't think you can stomach for one more helping can become special and refreshed with a slather of Hellmann's. One of my favorite things to do is take a slice of cold stuffing and put it on a plate. Mix leftover cranberry sauce and spread it on the stuffing. Then place a few pieces of turkey atop that followed by more cran-mayo. Then top that with another sliver of cold stuffing. It's tough to beat a cold meatloaf sandwich with Hellmann's Mayo on soft white bread, but this is a close second when it comes to revamping leftovers. Best and most used ingredient goes to Hellmann's Real Mayo for me.

Best mayo for anything! This is the best brand and its most people's favourite, always runs out so quick in the house as it's used for so many meals. I much rather the squeezy bottle because it's cleaner and easier to use but the jar does hold more product!

The only mayonnaise that was ever in our house when I grew up in the late 30s, 40s, and early 50s was Hellmann's, so little wonder that it is the only brand ever in my house. I've tasted others, but nothing favorably compares to Hellmann's. Guess which brand is in my children's and grandchildren's homes? :) I don't remember exactly when, but I believe a subtle change was made in the ingredients and it's not one that we like. It doesn't now have the distinctly fresh, and specific Hellmann's unique flavor. The consistency is the same, so I don't understand the reviews saying it's runny or has a tendency to separate and not be thick and creamy. I buy only the (plastic now) jars, not the squeeze bottle type. Also, I don't buy the new Olive Oil, Light, Balsamic, etc. types, as I like only the Original Hellmann's I grew up with. This is the one that I notice a slight and unfavorable taste in, yet it still beats any other brand on the market. It is because of a change in ingredients, such as a different oil, or the GMO someone mentioned in reviews? Whatever it is, it detracts from the Original, which means it isn't TRULY the "Original." This is the only reason I don't give it five stars. Like so many have recommended here, change it back to what it was during the decades I grew up in, and then you will have the same mayonnaise that is passed down through generations. That's built-in marketing that doesn't cost you a dime! It wouldn't be very smart to interfere with that in any way now, would it? Loyalty like this can't be bought; it comes from consistency of product that people like. People will desert the brand very quickly if it changes in any way they don't like. Have the Hellmann's marketing department read every review on this board. It means survival in today's fickle shopping universe.

Why is soybean oil your first ingredient? It’s terrible for male testosterone levels and filled with estrogen. This mayo is also runny like oil and looking through the bottle, you can see the oil separated from the mayo. That orange shard led area in the middle is literally all oil. I thought I was buying a great product but shocked when I actually saw the ingredients and the product itself. I will be returning this trash.

I grew up in a house where miracle whip was the standard mayo product. Once I moved out, I realized what real mayo tastes like, and how awful miracle whip truly is. This is now my favourite. This is now what I will only buy. This product completely changed my opinion on mayonnaise.

Love Hellman's - I've been a fan for over 35 years! I now use the Hellman's Light and love this product- great, rich flavor in a lower calorie option. My problem is that I can't find the Hellman's Light Squeeze Bottle any more in my area. ( Louisville, KY) Please don't make me have to do this every time we run out! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this to make a big sandwich (from 20 oz. loaf/bigger slices) and the mayo quantity in the packet was perfect for the 2 slices) This is a great way to make sure you have Best Foods on your lunch sandwiches without getting the bread all damp (just apply the Best Foods mayo shortly before eating to get the freshest flavor and non-soggy bread!)

We all love this gorgeous mayonnaise very creamy taste has you can see we buy two so we don't run out love it on salad chips probably on most meals comes in a nice size bottle so get plenty of in very good quality and great price the texture is nice and thick and creamy and you get that creamy taste highly recommend
