It comes with a plastic wall hanger, just 2 screws and it’s up. I like that you can hang it so you always know where it is in the event you ever need it. This one is recommended for wood, paper, fabrics electrical and flammable liquids. It is important to read the instructions as there are a couple different types of fore extinguishers and if you use the wrong type it could cause more harm than good. It is recommended that you inspect the extinguisher every month to assure that it is charged which is the pointer in the green, if it is not in the green it will not work. In the event you need to use it follow these 4 steps, pull the pin, aim at the base of the fire, squeeze the lever & handle and sweep from side to side. Every home should have a fire extinguisher and, in my opinion, this is a quality product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I choose this fire extinguisher for several reasons, but my main two are: 1) It is made by Kiddie, a trusted fire extinguisher brand name 2) It encompasses A -B-C fires It is in a heavy-duty metal container and is larger than the ones that I already have in my house. This Kiddie fire extinguisher has everything you should look for when purchasing one. It UL listed, it is UL rated as A-B-C, which will put out any fire type you encounter and you don’t have to worry if you have the “right” type of extinguisher for the type of fire you have. As with any fire extinguisher, I would use the PASS (pull, aim, spray, sweep) method to use. Directions are on the cylinder. It has a very nice required gauge so that I can check every month to ensure it still in the green and within limits to use if needed. Best part: It is recommended to replace every 12 years. I don’t have to worry about replacing my fire extinguisher every 1, 3 or 5 years. This one lasts for 12 years! People often overlook the need for this home safety item, and hopefully would never need to use, but to me, the peace of mind to know I have one in the event I do need to put out a fire before it does life threatening damage, is worth its weight in gold.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this quickly and very well packaged.Everything seems to be just fine, the gauge shows fully charged(in the green) and the pin is in place. I saw several reviews stating the pin was out when the unit was received, but mine came intact. It has a plastic bracket to attach to the wall but there are no screws. That wasn't a problem for me. I haven't had to use it yet (hopefully I never will) so I can't comment on that. Kidde is a good brand, so I'm going to trust that it will work as it should if need be. I think it's important to have several of these around the house just in case. I have Kidde brand smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms and they work fine, so I expect the fire extinguisher will also.

It is recommended that you have an extinguisher on every level of your home. This particular fire extinguisher is recommended for supplementary protection use. It is a 1-A:10-B:C which is why it is supplemental as the National Fire Protection Association recommends you have a minimum 2-A:10-B-C as your primary extinguisher. It comes with instructions in both English and Spanish. This extinguisher is recommended for use on fighting fires from wood, paper, fabrics, electrical equipment and flammable liquids. You can not reuse this extinguisher and must dispose of it after using it or after 12 years. There is a pressure gauge that allows for immediate pressure check. You should check it every month to be sure it is in the green zone. If it is kept out in the weather it should be checked more often, like in a garage that isn't heated. The gauge is right on the front of the extinguisher. The extinguisher is made of aluminum and has a metal valve assembly. Instructions for use are clearly printed right on the front of the extinguisher. All you do is pull the pin and hold the extinguisher in an upright position. Start back 6 feet and aim at the base of the fire. Squeeze the lever and sweep the spray from side to side. The extinguisher comes with a wall mount. This fire extinguisher comes with a 6 year warranty. I would recommend this Kidde fire extinguisher to anyone in need of a good fire extinguisher.

I am very happy with this purchase. It was a 2 pack so I expected them to be smaller than a normal size extinguisher but they weren't. The price was great, like getting one for free. I have one in my kitchen and one in the bedroom. Both are easily accessible just in case I ever need one. Hopefully that will never happen. But as they say... better to be safe than sorry. Definitely recommend this fire extinguisher package.

As far as I know they're good. I plan on taking them to the fire department to have them checked. I purchased two for my home and two smaller ones for our vehicle's. Family is the most important thing so why not invest in something that could help save their lives God forbid you ever have to use them.

When I first saw that it was Kidde, I just assumed it would be a small sized or "kid-y" sized fire extinguisher, but I was wrong. This is a full sized fire extinguisher. It says 2.5 pounds, but it feels much heavier to me. It comes with an at-a-glance pressure gauge (I’ve attached a picture of that). It’s very easy to use and understand. It has an easy to pull safety pin and clear instructions on the label. You will need to cut the “cord” that will prevent you from using the extinguisher. The manufacturer states that this extinguisher is suitable for Class A, B, and C fires. Which is basically anything that could catch fire in your home. I keep this extinguisher under my sink in the kitchen since it’s most likely if there was a fire it would probably occur there. Don’t let the Kidde brand name fool you, this is a full-sized fire extinguisher and there should be one in every home! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Small, compact, slim fire extinguishers. Not the same size as the one you might see in a school classroom or gas station, but its nice because its easier to store its small size. Havnt use it though, hopefully wouldnt have to use it, knock on wood, fingers cross! Nice knowing i have it just in case though

This a great size for small spaces. It's lightweight for the most part. Granted it's weight is 2.5lbs, but it feels a bit heavier. Perhaps a couple pounds more. The extinguisher comes with a plastic wall mount. Which is easy to place into the wall. This product is sturdy and put together nicely. You csn use it on different types of fires. It empties within 10 seconds.
