IT is sitting in my kitchen so if the need arises I can get to easily. It fits right by stove and is not bulky.

Which covers most if not all fires that most homes would encounter At 2 1/2 pounds it is pretty light for most to handle. Just pull the pin, and squeeze the trigger and point it at the fire.. It all so comes with a plastic wall mount so it can be placed in a secure place for when you need it and out of the way when you don’t All directions are printed right on the tank This is one of those Items you hate to have to use it, but glad it is in your home when you need it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a very good thing to have a fire extinguisher in your house. You never know when you will be in need of one. I’m so glad I received this Kidde basic use fire extinguisher. It is suitable for use on Class A (trash, wood and paper), Class B (liquids and gases) and Class C (energized electrical equipment) fires. so pretty much on anything that can happen in your house or garage. The extinguisher comes with an easy to pull safety pin and a clear instruction on how to use it. The container is made out of aluminum so it is not heavy at all. The only negative detail about this type of extinguishers when compared to gas or liquid extinguishers is that it releases dry chemical when in use - in other words everything is going to be covered in white powder. But I guess when it comes to fire you would rather have your house covered in white powdery that burnt down.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very happy to be able to review and get a Kidde ABC Basic fire Extinguisher for my home. I have an old one which I've thankfully never needed to use. Having another one just raised my piece of mind another 50%. This one is small and easy to keep in a handy spot. I recommend the same spot whether it's attached to the wall or not. (It does come with a wall mount). It's like a flashlight. You do not want to have to hunt for it when you need it! Don't move it around. It's ideal for home because it handles all common home fires except cooking grease. Read the instructions so you know how to use it. As I age and my home ages I try to stay on top of everything. But accidents happen. This might prevent a full-blown fire and it's so economical and easy to have around. I think it's a necessity for all homes along with good smoke alarms.

My husband has wanted one for a long time and when he seen this he was impressed. And it comes with a thing to hang it on the wall, he hung it up in our kitchen as soon as it came out of the box. We have not used it and pray we never need to. But in the event we do I hope it performance is as impressive as it’s looks. My home and family feels safer for having it around. This is a high quality, invaluable piece of equipment for every home that needs a little extra peace of mind.

It is really a good thing to have in your home or appartment. This one is a perfect small size, just enough to put out a small fire if necessary. It is lightweight, comes with inspection tag and also has a plastic bracket that can be easily attached to the wall with 2 screws and then a fire extinguisher can be snapped into the bracket to hang. It is designed for small paper, wood or trash fires. Easy to use, with a quick pull of the safety ring it can be easily started by pushing on a trigger. Overall I enjoy this product and definitely makes me feel better and safer now in my own home, now that I have this fire extinguisher. It doesn't take much space on the wall either, so it will be out of the way wherever you decide to hang it. It is perfect to use at any given time and needs to be thrown away in 12 months after the first use.

It will fit perfectly under a cabinet. I store the fire extinguisher in a kitchen cabinet. I used it to put out small trash fire. It worked fast and easy.

This unit is very compact, powerful safe, and works correctly without any trouble. I will buy more for my room, house and car. I will recommend this fire Extinguisher.

I haven't had to use this yet - and fingers crossed won't have to - but this extinguisher is a nice just-in-case to keep in your kitchen. That said, the instructions are extremely clear, so I have no worries that in the case of an emergency, I should be able to use it just fine. It's super light at only 4 pounds and pretty compact; fits perfectly in the cabinet under my sink. (I sometimes even do tricep curls with this haha).
