Kidde extinguishers

Extinguishers are well made. Good deal on two. Problem is with mounting bracket. Instructions say to mount bracket, then fold down retaining straps. When you fold them down, they break off making them useless.

Handy inexpensive item to around house

You may never have to use it, but when you need it, there will be two handy after you call 911. Also the cost is reasonable after a few years you will need to properly dispose by check the gauge on front if red arrow is pointing to Empty. There is an mounting bracket, so mount close to area that will be handy and not at the back of the sink cabinet.

Trusted name brand

I bought these for the unforeseen event of a small fire in the house. Hopefully, I will never have to find out how good they work. I have practiced with fire extinguishers before at work for training so I know they are effective. The fact that they are refillable is an added plus.

better to be safe than sorry, great deal as always

pretty low priced if you asked me and they feel like they are made out of quality material, fast shipping, i feel better now that i have two more extinguishers in my house. Its better to be safe than sorry. $24 to help protect your $200,000-$400,000 house? yea, I think its worth getting at least four of these for your home.

Cheap, import plastic units - priced right backups

Pros: 2020 stamped on bottom, turned upside down and bumped with hand-powder movement felt good, good pressure communicated on gage, INCLUDED WALL HANGER, fire retardant is typically $10 a pound -so, 2 qty. - 2.5 lb extinguishers for $20 is a good deal. Cons: Made in Mexico plastic head junk so this is not the primary extinguisher in house (type this unit in google - plenty of recalls and units that did not work when needed). Bought 4 of these because something is better than nothing and I need plenty of these for older vehicles, in the garage, basement and near panel - just remember when you change your smoke detector batteries annually to pop these units off the wall, bump the bottom of them with the palm of your hand to prevent settling and check the gage. Also, some people noted older dates on units they received. Walmart will fix that. Overall thought: Buy them while they are inexpensive, great housewarming gift, great to have under seat in car (for $9 ish) so when you come upon someone having a carbeque on the side of the road you can help them until fire truck shows up. I bought 4 and have already given a couple away. Plan is to buy a couple American Made Steel Top Construction 5 pounders for primary protection of home (good ones say refillable) - at $10 a pound they run $50 each . . .

Find the Extinguisher

Don't wait until you need a fire extinguisher. We did. A gasoline fire on the manifold of our Corvette could have been worse. We had one extinguisher in the kitchen. Now we have one in the kitchen, one in the garage, one one on the patio near the grills, and one downstairs.

I hope I never need to test these!

Bought to have in my new home. I have no idea if or how well they work and I hope I never really need to use one or both. So my review is more about the fact that having them is probably better than not having them. I will say that I am a little disappointed in that I could find an expiration date (hence the four stars).

BAD KIDDY Fire Extinguishers

THERE IS NO EXPIRATION DATE WIT IS REQUIRED TO MAKE SURE IT WORKS. THE FIRING PIN WAS DISLODGED. THE PLASTIC HANGING HARDWARE; DOES NOT HAVE A CLIP TO HOLD THE THING ON THE BRACKET. IS SO CHEAPLY MADE. IT CRACKED. AND THE THING FELL OFF THE WALL. GET SOMETHING ELSE THAT HAS A LOCKING CLIP

Kidde fire extinguishers

I always buy Kidde fire extinguishers. Very dependable. Only thing I didn't like about this one is the plastic handle/nose. Usually, Kidde has a much stronger, metal top - handle, etc. But I'm sure it'll work the same just as well. Also, always a good price for a product that you can depend on.

Great and unusual housewarming gift

Both my adult children just bought houses. I wanted to give them something different that they went by himself. I came across these and they are perfect. Hopefully they will never have to use them. Giving them five stars just because I think it’s a perfecc gift idea.
