I bought this exact one to replace one hanging up for over 10 years. There was a little white plastic tag attached I cut off that was blocking the Pin. Carrying the unit to the wall to hang it up the Pin just fall out. Oh great. Now it's loaded and ready to be used. I can't put the Pin back in without activating the spray. Now what ?

This is an awesome fire extinguisher. Both the price, portability are top notch. Luckily I haven't had to use them yet but it gives me a ton of piece of mind to have one on each level of my house. You can't really beat the price walmart charges for a 2-pack (I have compared on many other sites). The extinguisher even comes with the components to mount it to the wall. I opted to mount mine as close to the floor as possible for easy access in case of low visibility. I also read the instructions and it seems very easy to operate.

In my 40 something years, I have never needed a fire extinguisher. Until the day I did. The week before, my son had fire safety in school and asked me where our fire extinguisher was. We didn't have one and the kid fussed at me, but he was right. So I ordered this one and it was delivered the next day. (Thank you Walmart ) When I needed this product, it worked. As soon as I calmed down from the incident, I purchased another one just like it. Now this is my don't-even-have-to-check-the-registry wedding gift. Everybody gets a fire extinguisher and a note in the card that I hope they never have to use it. By the way, get a kitchen fire extinguisher for your kitchen.

The fire extinguishers seem fine but I have not had to use one. The mounting brackets are cheap plastic and no screws included. One arrived broken. (I was able to repair it.) Another one broke during installation. All will be ok as long as the extinguishers work if/when needed.

Of course I did not try one and I hope that I never have to. I recently learned that the manufacturing date is printed on the bottom of the extinguisher. Also that until recently, the "lifetime" of the device was 6 years. This new extinguisher has a lifetime of 12 years and the bottom date indicated that it was manufactured in 2014. So I am set until 2026.

This fire extinguisher appears to be a good "bang for the buck" one. I do like the small wall mount that allows the extinguisher to be easily removed. I had a fire recently and ripped my old one, mount and all, off the wall. One drawback is that these are single use and not rechargeable. The real test is is going to be how good it puts out a fire, something I never want to find out.

Double extinguisher for a good price. Perfect size to keep in the car or in the house.
