It is a good size and comes with clear and easy to follow instructions. I read the easy to read instructions and tested it. It was easy to use, lightweight, only 2.5 pounds and can be mounted. It is small and thin, great to store in my kitchen and have on hand for an emergency. It is bright red, easy to identify and I am so happy to have it and recommend it.

I have an old one which I've thankfully never needed to use. Having another one just raised my piece of mind another 50%. This one is small and easy to keep in a handy spot. I recommend the same spot whether it's attached to the wall or not. (It does come with a wall mount). It's like a flashlight. You do not want to have to hunt for it when you need it! Don't move it around. It's ideal for home because it handles all common home fires except cooking grease. Read the instructions so you know how to use it. As I age and my home ages I try to stay on top of everything. But accidents happen. This might prevent a full-blown fire and it's so economical and easy to have around. I think it's a necessity for all homes along with good smoke alarms.

It works for a large variety of fire emergencies being an ABC class extinguisher. Lightweight and easy to use pull safety pin to handle any small fire emergencies. The instructions are posted clearly on the tank. Included is a clip for hanging it on the wall, however the screws and wall anchors for mounting weren’t included. It’s about 13 inches in height, 3 & 3/4 inches wide and sticks out from wall about 3 & 3/4 inches if you need to check for space to hang it. They described it as follows: The Kidde 1A10BC Basic Use Fire Extinguisher is suitable for use on Class A (trash, wood and paper), Class B (liquids and gases) and Class C (energized electrical equipment) fires. I would have liked to mount it right away, but there were no screws in the box, which is the only negative about it. According to the owners instructions you don't do a 'test' which will reduce the pressure. The instructions are also clear about checking the pressure dial on a regular basis.

I like that it came with a bracket for hanging on wall. Easy to use instructions right on the extinguisher. The guage is easy to read so you know that it's fully charged and ready to use. Hopefully I never need to use it but it's nice to have a peace of mind that it's there and ready to use. Has a long warranty and I know from experience Kiddie extinguishers last a long time. I wouldn't buy any other brand. I would recommend writing date on extinguisher that it was purchased because you would be surprised how long these last but they do need to be replaced after about 10 years..

This Kidde Fire Extinguisher is so nice to have around your home. I like to keep one in every room as you just never know what or when a fire may start. The fire extinguisher is good for wood, liquids, and electrical according to the box. This fire extinguisher is warrantied for 6 years and they do last a super long time (in my opinion). Kidde Fire Extinguishers gives me peace of mind now. I love the brand and I love how long they last as well. This Kidde Fire Extinguisher has a metal pin and aluminum body and comes with a bracket that has two screws that can mount to any wall or place that will accept the screws. The extinguisher itself just sits freely on the bracket so it comes off fast in an emergency. You can feel the quality of the extinguisher itself just by holding it and seeing the metal handles and the really nice easy to see pressure gauge on it. Overall: Super High Quality in my opinion and they last a really long time! They come with a 6-year limited warranty which should say all you need to know about the quality! I love the fire extinguishers that Kidde puts out and I would never use another brand. The fire extinguisher is super reliable and easy to mount just about anywhere out of the way. I would absolutely recommend this fire extinguisher to anyone! You just can’t go wrong in my opinion on this buy!

It is recommended that you have an extinguisher on every level of your home. This particular fire extinguisher is recommended for supplementary protection use. It is a 1-A:10-B:C which is why it is supplemental as the National Fire Protection Association recommends you have a minimum 2-A:10-B-C as your primary extinguisher. It comes with instructions in both English and Spanish. This extinguisher is recommended for use on fighting fires from wood, paper, fabrics, electrical equipment and flammable liquids. You can not reuse this extinguisher and must dispose of it after using it or after 12 years. There is a pressure gauge that allows for immediate pressure check. You should check it every month to be sure it is in the green zone. If it is kept out in the weather it should be checked more often, like in a garage that isn't heated. The gauge is right on the front of the extinguisher. The extinguisher is made of aluminum and has a metal valve assembly. Instructions for use are clearly printed right on the front of the extinguisher. All you do is pull the pin and hold the extinguisher in an upright position. Start back 6 feet and aim at the base of the fire. Squeeze the lever and sweep the spray from side to side. The extinguisher comes with a wall mount. This fire extinguisher comes with a 6 year warranty. I would recommend this Kidde fire extinguisher to anyone in need of a good fire extinguisher.

As far as I know they're good. I plan on taking them to the fire department to have them checked. I purchased two for my home and two smaller ones for our vehicle's. Family is the most important thing so why not invest in something that could help save their lives God forbid you ever have to use them.

Recently purchased this item at my local Walmart. It was exactly what I was looking for. When I got it home I noticed the pin and tie were both sitting in the bottom of the box. Decided to take it back to exchange. This time I opened the box before purchase to make sure the pin was in tact. I would say I looked through 3/4 of the boxes until I found one with the pin and tie in place. Disappointing.
