A sample of this razor came in the mail recently. So I opted to try it. Not a great shave, however the small plastic marks on the ends of the handle-one side says Fusion, and the otherside Gillette, like the covering of the handle when wet can cause loss of grip. I would improve the grip surface for a better feel.

I have always used Gillette products and lately the Fusion Power and have been very satisfied. Recently purchase a new pack of blades and noticed the blue on the glide strip disappeared upon my first use. After several used, today the top two blades fell out of the razor. When I took out the blade, I noticed the sides of the blades at the connections were all covered with a white substance. Have you changed the manufacturing of the product.

I've been using Gillette Fusion5 blades for YEARS. They used to be the very best out there. The recent change to the plastic/rubber around the blades on the heads is terrible. It causes too much friction/drag, and prevents the blades from getting close enough to the skin for a close shave. This makes you use more pressure to get the blades closer, forces you to shave over the same spot over and over, and results in MORE cuts, not fewer. And you STILL don't have results as good as they used to be. Please go back to your old design or at least rethink the new one. I am searching for something new now after almost 20 years, because these are just plan unusable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All of my life, I've only purchased disposable razor blades. Whatever disposable razor pack brand is on sale at the moment, is what I pick up. The handle is sturdy and ergonomic, and fits comfortably in my hand. The weight of the razor is perfect, with just enough weight to it. The blade contours to the shape of your face, without having to put much pressure. The 5 blades give a very close shave, and I didn't even have to use any shaving cream. I was able to shave in the shower like I normally do and just used water. I really like how the top of the blade is left uncovered. This makes it so much easier to clean after use. Unlike all other razors I've used, you never have access to the top of the blade. The only thing I didn't like about the razor is I wish it came with a cover to put over the blade when not in use. I travel occasionally for business and a cover over the blade would be ideal. Also, the plastic holder it comes with is extremely bulky and won't fit in my small medicine cabinet. These are minor problems for me, as overall I really liked the Gillette Fusion razor. I will probably be saying "Bye Bye Disposables" from now on.

I've been using fusion 5 razor blades for years and I always get an extremely good shave on my face and head. I tried using some other brands several times but they don't come close to the quality and comfort this blade provides. As I mentioned previously I shave my face and head and I still get at 30 to 35 days out of each blade. The cheaper blades I don't know how long they last because I can't use them more than 2 or 3 times before I switch back. Fusion 5 is a great razor blade that works best with Gillette shaving cream. Thank you Gillette for a great product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gillette Fusion Manual Razor gave me a clean shave that lasted longer than my electric razor shaves do. It didn't cause razor burn, it was a smooth glide, no sting, didn't pull hairs, overall good razor. The cartridge (blades) were on a pivoting head that contributed to the close shave and easy glide. The blades were sharp enough to shave close, but not hurt my face. I would recommend this razor to others.

I've had many razors in my day. (I'm 82) and remember "Push-pull-click-click change blades that quick." I also remember when Gillette blades had "Duridium" (whatever that was.) But these blades not only give me my best shave but are cheaper in the long run since they last more than a month of shaves. Can't go wrong with this razor.

I use the Fusion more than any other razor - I find it doesn't knick or chafe like so many others and the blades last quite a while...My only issue is the price. It's very high and wish it would drop a little. Tried others, not even close to this blade.

The fusion is a razor that has no equal. Superior comfort, sturdy construction, and attention to detail separate this razor from the rest. I usually give them out for birthday or Christmas presents when possible. Thanks Gillette for making the best razor on the market!

This is one of the best razors I have ever used. The only problem with this blade is that it does not last that long. The package advertises that the cartridges will last up to 3 months. Unfortunately I have never even gotten close to the time frame. The 4 pack usually last me one month only. Due to my profession, I must shave every day. I don't know if the frequency of my shaves have anything to do with the shortened life of the blade.
