[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gillette is a household name for its razors and the Gillette Mach3 does not disappoint. I was getting ready to go on vacation and looking clean is always important for the pictures, so I tossed my Mach3 razor in my toiletry bag along with some Gillette shaving cream. I’m always cautious about shaving too regularly because my skin is sensitive and razor bumps do happen. I didn’t want these guys invading any pictures so I was a bit cautious, but after shaving each day after a week, the shave was still close, still smooth, and no nasty razor bumps. It worked better than any disposable razor and lasted longer than any subscription razor service. It may not be as cheap as a subscription in the immediacy but seeing that the razor last a lot longer, it’s cheaper. I look forward to using this razor regularly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gillette Mach 3 is a good razor. Now, I don't think that it is the best razor out there, but it certainly gets the job done. It gives a clean, close shave and the blades seem to last through 6-7 shaves before they start tugging. I also appreciate the spacing of the blades. A lot of the multi-blade razors get clogged easily because of the lack of space between blades; however, only having 3 blades gives the Mach 3 an advantage in this area. Keep in mind, though, that this may mean you will need extra strokes to get a really clean shave. That depends greatly from person to person and the length of the hairs in question. For the average Joe that isn't trying to tackle a thick beard, it will do just fine. Heck, for the guys with thick beards, this would still make a nice blade for trimming and cleaning up. Overall, it's a good blade that I wouldn't have a problem recommending. I don't think it will replace my current favorite blade, but I would have no problem buying it if my favorite was not available for some reason or if I was traveling and wanted a temporary replacement.

Now, 16 years later I can attest that this still holds true. I have tried many razors even mail order types and nothing can come close to the quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first impression of the Mach 3 was how light it was and how good it felt in my hand. I don’t shave everyday so my beard is about a 1/4 inch and my usual razor always pulls on the hair. That being said, the Mach 3 handled my stubble with no pulling and glided smoothly across my skin with absolutely no irritation! The shave left my skin baby soft with no rough stubble left. Very close shave without any irritation or razor burn! I highly recommend trying this razor. I am anxious to see how many shaves the blade lasts before I need to change it. I will update this info when the blade gets dull.

This product is so good it makes me feel I've been shaving the wrong way all my life! Its delicately curved to fit perfectly in my hand and its ergonomically balanced handle applies just the right direction, control, and pressure to the blades for a clean, smooth, close shave with no irritation.

I have tried all of the razors from a single blade through 5- blade razors and without a doubt this was the best shave of any of them. I especially was impressed with the spring action on the shaver head that made my shave, close and very smooth. Some shavers have limp heads, fixed heads or tight action heads making them less than smooth and less than effective. My wife even complimented me on a close, smooth-skin shave. The Microfin skin guard ensured no nicks or cuts and the lubrication strip ensured the smooth experience I just had. In addition this shaver was very comfortable in my hand. I would recommend that you try the Gillette MACH3 as soon as possible. It will change your entire shaving experience.

The pivoting head maintains an even shave without nicks and cuts, and the 3 blades with the lubricator strip keep my face and neck from becoming irritated. I’ve used the razor a handful of times, and the Mach3 has kept its precision. One pass does the trick with this razor!

I use the razor to shave my head (since not much hair grows there anyway). I enjoy the close shave that it provides when using. I don’t like to have to shave the same spot over and over again and this razor provides a good clean look when using. Package is t that easy to open without using additional tools but razor is very sleek and stylish once open. Gillette has a great product here and I strongly recommend you give it a try! Here is how I use mine: have a cup of water ready to rinsing, put on the shave cream and after 2-3 swipes of ge razor, rinse off and repeat. If you are looking for a really good basic razor the Gillette Mach 3 is definitely what you need!

..there's no question the mach 3 series is a perfect attribute...especially, when shaving your body..in its entirety. ha. oil of olay bar soap lathered...along with a mach 3 blade....?....the ultimate combination. no shave cream required. as well, each blade has longer life with this method. thanks

I have been using rthis for the past 2 years and I get about 5 shaves out of a cartridge. For my beard which is like copper wire I think that's very good. The only objection I have is that the button to release the cartridge is hard to push after 2 years of use. Tried to clean it up but couldn't. Need a new handle but I did not see any place on the website to order one.
