I have been buying gilette razors for over 30 years. The year or two the price has gone down, but so has the quality. Gilette likes to advertise that you can get up to 15 shaves per razor. Nothing could be farther than the truth. I used to get up to 6 or so shaves per refill. But lately after 4 shaves they don't shave too good. If I try to use more I will more than likely cut myself. I never once got 15 shaves from s refill. With this new quality issue I think I may have to try another option.

But not with the Gillette Mach 3 - It does a really good job of giving you a close shave. I need a really sharp razor because I take blood thinners, so I can't take a chance on getting nicks. If you use this, you won't have any issues at all. I would recommend this product to anyone that wants a high quality shave. And here's a great tip: After you are done shaving, dry off your razor and store it in a dry area and it will last a lot longer!

I've used disposable ones all my life and I have to say, I won't be going back. This gives a really close shave without causing the redness and discomfort that you can get from disposable razors. It's really sturdy as well, due to the fact that this is metal and not plastic. I would highly recommend you give this razor a try!

I’ve always used whatever cheap razor pack I could find at the store and the Mach 3 has proven that was a huge mistake. When using this razor I had no razor bumps or irritation, which actually made me feel a lot better every morning when going to work. The multiple blades also mean less strokes over an area to get even the more stubborn hairs. Overall this is an amazing product! In fact my partner got jealous and bought one too. I feel the package should say something realating to faster shaving time and less strokes compared to the cheaper one blade disposable razors. That is a huge point for me because it means less time and less irritation.

The lubrication strip kept my skin moisturized while making for a close shave. I have been using a razor with 5 blades, but was impressed that this one worked just as well. I was not crazy about the handle on this razor, which is the only reason I deducted a star. I did not feel that it was easy to hold when wet. I would be interested in continuing to use these blades if I can find a handle that I like better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried the Mach 3 razor and was amazed. This is the smoothest razor I've ever tried. I have sensitive skin so my face is very prone to sensitivity with a lot of other razors I've tried. I had absolutely no issue with the Mach 3. Even with using it on the third time if still felt like the first use. It glides along your face smoothly and also requires fewer strokes than other razors.

The razors are great, the blades are sharp, & my skin comes away looking the smoothest ever. I forgot to mention that the blades stay strong even after being used for more than 10 times. Durability is key to a good razor and a good brand. Gillette is one of the best.

I have been using Gillette Mach3 blades for years, and purchased this version for the first time. The top part, which I believe is what is called the skin guard, makes shaving more tedious and the razor glide less. I also find the blade less easy to clear out between shaves.

The packaging is very basic and looks like a packaging from 20 years ago. I would never stop on this on based on the packaging if I was facing a row full of razors. The blades are precise and I can do the job by passing on my chick only once, without too much pressure. However the lubrification strip is truly basic and close to a very first price razor. This razor has a precise cut for a clean finish however I expect more from a razor. It has to be more modern, with extra features, extra lubrification strips, confortable handle...
