reply from Gillette

When you reach for your SkinGuard Razor, you should feel confident knowing your skin will stay protected while shaving. We're so very sorry to hear about this. Know that with our safety checks, this isn't what we expect, especially if you're using warm water, a shave prep, and light and gentle strokes. We'd like to hear from you about this, make a detailed report to our Safety Team, and help. Please call us at 800-445-5388.

Smooth shave

The blades are very sharp, with a smooth glide. A great shave for face or legs
