I suspect you do not use clean & pure filtered water in your recipe... hence the light chlorine smell & taste. Its better that i make my own refried beans!

We have bought Old El Paso regrows beans for years. The new recipe has a horrible smell and taste. The texture is watery and mushy as well. It was unanimous that no one liked these and we will never purchase these again.

For years, I have eaten and liked Old El Paso Traditional Refried Beans. No more! The NEW Recipe is tasteless, watered-down, weak flavor, with a mushy, no-body texture.

I never expected this brand name to be so bad. Bland and runny. Your name will only carry you so far if the quality isn't there. I will avoid this brand from now on.
