They had a great smell of wood & lead brought back memories of when I was in elementary school!!!! They're lightweight, smooth, write perfectly & has a good eraser.

Love these pencils. We have several packages of off-brand pencils that we have been given over the years, and they just don't stand up to use and are hard to sharpen. We homeschool, this is round 2 as I homeschool 2 younger grandchildren. Pencils are all they use right now. The Ticonderoga pencils sharpen well, the lead inside the shaft isn't broken requiring you to continuously be resharpening them to get a point that stays. These may cost a bit more than other brands, but the few cents extra are well worth it to have pencils that sharpen well the first time and even if they're dropped, the lead seems to be protected and doesn't break inside the pencil. The Ticonderoga pencils are also easier to use with the little handheld sharpeners kids have to use at their desks. The wood doesn't splinter or get rough.

They are sturdy and the erasers work amazingly well too, no smudges left behind like some other brands. As a pen fanatic I didn't think I would use them as frequently as I find myself using them so I would say if you are looking for some great pencils these are definitely for you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried out these Ticonderoga pre-sharpened pencils and was so pleased with them! They have good quality graphite lead in them that writes with a bold line. They also have a soft pink eraser on top that erases completely and is the type preferred for school. I loved that the pencils, which are made with 100% American cedar wood, were easy to sharpen. The pencils were comfortable to hold and write with. Another bonus is that the wood for these pencils comes from sustainable forest management, meaning the 100+ year old company is working to help the environment. Definitely a product and a company I can stand behind.

Ticonderoga pencils are a classic for a reason. The wood feels sturdy, and the %232 lead is perfect for smooth writing and drawing. With 24 pencils in the pack, they last a while and are a great value. They sharpen easily without splintering. A must-have for any student

They already came sharpened in our easy to use very sturdy. Classic but not so classic perfect for school work or even drawing I would recommend this to family friends and anyone else.

Easy to sharpen to a point, lead doesn't snap, wood doesn't splinter easily; you get your money's worth. I've given up on cheap pencils that snap and splinter so much that you can sharpen them to a stub before you get a usable point! Ticonderogas are reliably good quality.
