I use my pencils for art or puzzles not writing. I use pens for writing like most grown ups. When using for art or puzzles you frequently use the eraser. The eraser on these pencils are worthless! You can use the entire eraser on one small line and it will not erase it. Not even a fairly lighty marked line. You will wear through the paper before the line will disapear. If you are going to make a claim like"World's best pencil", you need to use an eraser that works. The eraser is part of the pencil. For an artist, a very important part of the pencil! I use it almost as much as the lead for shading. If you ever need an eraser, DON'T BUY THESE PENCILS!

I didn't read the reviews. That's my fault. But how does a product have a 4 out of 5 star rating when the product does not match the description. I know they are just pencils but it is very disappointing when the description says pre-sharpened, I think I'm paying for pre-sharpened, but then they are not.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pencils are below average for me. The wood is very splintery and sharpens strangely. The eraser broke off at the metal on first use and I was being gentle. I would not recommend these but maybe I got a sub par batch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kiddos are homeschooled so I could see them using these pencils first hand for awhile and they are truly great writing utensils! The lead doesn't break early and it erases nicely. The only thing I dislike about these pencils are the lead is extremely strong smelling. It gets to the point that my kiddos couldn't use the pencils for a long period of time. Because of the strong smell, I have to give it a 4 star.

Now I know after buying them and using them with my children. They write so smoothly and such a dark color lead.

They also write very smoothly and neatly. The eraser on the end erases the mistakes nicely as well. No complaints, just an all around good pencil.

These are presharpened great pencils! They come in a pack of twelve. My package looked like it had been through some trauma.... but they all survived the trip.
