Sometimes good, sometimes bad

We order these all the time. I LOVE vanilla wafers! Most of the time they are fantastic, but every now and then (including very recently), they are horrible (like they are overdone or something, with a weird, white coating on the back of the cookie). In other words, very hit or miss.

Wafers okay

I feel like Sam's club gets second quality. When I buy them more wafers are stuck together than separate. That's ok if you are crushing them for banana pudding, but not for a toddlers snack. My husband feels the quality is not the same either. Even store brands are better.

Not what they were!

Drastic change! These use to be the best but not anymore. Wafers are not round, they're egg shaped, whole bag. Soft, not crunchy. Worse is the taste has completely changed. I grew up on these and after 67 years knew what to expect but disappointed. Will get Jack's wafers from now own; they taste same as always and cheaper.

Nilla Wafers

This is my 2nd box with issues the 1st box was stale the cookies were soft. I bought another box 2 weeks later and the cookies were stuck together by 2’s and the middle was all broken up. The taste has changed as well this was my childhood favorite but totally went down hill.

Delicious!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these vanilla wafer cookies! They are so good! They are a tiny cookie that is soft and sweet. They are very versatile. You can easily make fun desserts with them or just eat them straight out of the box!

Classic Favorite!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I seen a box of Nilla Wafers Vanilla Wafer Cookies from Nabisco I am instantly taken aback to my childhood standing in the grocery store and begging my grandma to buy me a box. They were my favorite snack, dipped in milk or on top of banana pudding. I loved them then, and I still do! I’m glad they’re still available.

overcooked or stale

The first time I bought these, they were hard. I think they were overcooked. I like to dip them in milk, which makes them absorb the milk and become soft. They were so hard they didn't even get as soft when I soaked them in the milk. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and buy them again. I thought the pandemic may have caused inexperience people to make them, so the new ones would probably get better, This time I got a different outcome, but one that was just as bad or maybe even worse, since they I had a minimum order of 2 at the time. The wafers in the first box I opened were stale, and they looked like someone had chipped off small pieces of the edges. I wanted to make a banana pudding, but, unless the second box is differed (I haven't opened them yes), the pudding will have more chipped wafers than whole ones.

Not dependable.

It seems to be a quality issue with whoever makes Sam's Clubs' supplier. Sometimes they are just like the regular kind I get at a grocery store, sometimes there is a lack of flavor, and this latest time, they are doughy? Not sure if I'll get them from Sam's anymore. Trying to contact company that makes these seems to be a mystery, unlike other products at Sam's.

So so good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nilla wafers are the BEST! They are so fresh and crisp and have so many uses in so many recipes. My favorite way to eat them is just by themselves. They have such a nice crisp to them and a fresh vanilla flavor. I also make fresh vanilla pudding with them for my husband who swears they are the best when they get nice and soggy from the custard. These are such a treat to have around the house for a snack or a recipe and really anytime of year!

Good cookies, poor packaging

My family loves these cookies and buys them frequently. The last 3 boxes of these vanilla wafers I have purchased has had poor packaging. The plastic sack that the wafers are in has not been sealed completely. Air has gotten into the packaging and the cookies are stale.
