Tang was one of my favorite childhood drinks.although I’m sure I always added more than the serving size to my glass. It has a nice flavor and is a good source of vitamin c. Pro tip- you can also run a scoop through your dishwasher or garbage disposal to refresh either as it helps remove food debris.

Myth: Tang was invented for the NASA space program. Tang was actually invented by chemist and occasional playwright William A. Mitchell in 1957 while he was working for General Foods. General Foods introduced Tang to the public in powder form in 1959, but it wasn’t popular initially. This changed when NASA decided to use it in 1962 during John Glenn’s Mercury flight and later in 1965 for the Gemini program. In both instances, the Tang was used to improve the poor taste of the water from the life support system. The usage in the Gemini program particularly contributed to the previously unpopular drink mix becoming a huge hit. Because most people were introduced to Tang for the first time through the space program, this lead to the misconception that it was invented for that program, rather than just a generally available product that NASA decided to use, as it was.

Best tasting drink mix out there. Nice orangey sweet flavor, silky texture with a patina finish. It's as if astrophysicists freeze dried a truckload of Valencia oranges, crushed it in the machine that killed the Terminator into a fine granular powder, then fortified with a full day supply Vitamin C, and I'm sure, antioxidants to eliminate free radicals, because I can feel my spirits uplifted more and more with each sip I take. John Glenn felt the same way, and that's why his uniform is colored the way it was. It is out of this world. Literally.

It tastes somewhere between powdered tang & an orangeade. I love flavor squeezies, whether they're fruity flavored, tea flavored, or the coffe flavored ones to put in milk! They are easy to squeeze right into your water bottle & shake up or squeeze into a glass of water & stir! With the squeezies, you can easily control how much flavor you add & they usually have very few calories, sugars, etc.

Tang is pretty good! It’s a classic drink for me. It’s sweet but I always add some sugar anyways. It’s almost like orange kool-aid but with more flavor and a little tang. I even have a fancy glass pitcher that says tang on it from back in the day. I absolutely love tang, and I can’t wait to try the other flavors!!

I'm not a huge orange fan but I do know that this is one of the cheapest flavorings that there is because it is what my parents bring for every single family camp out that I have ever been on in my entire life. Also most group gatherings. It's okay, not the best.

I haven’t looked at the calories or anything but this can come out watered down if you don’t put enough or if you follow the instructions on the bottle. It’s a cheaper way to make juice if you want to save money and don’t mind having artificial juice.

I like Tang a lot. It's my son's favorite instant drink. It doesn't go bad after a long day even if it's not refrigerated. Besides it's full of vitamin C. and the taste is very delicious. I recommend it to moms with children. It's better than any soda and healthier.

I’m not the biggest fan of tang. Compared to other mixed drinks it’s not that tasty to me. I think it’s because of the flavor and the fact that I’m used to the taste of real, freshly squeezed orange juice. Also the dye in it is so strong it stains everything.
