We're sorry to hear that This should help you out! -Hold the red handle in your right hand - grey in left. Extend and collapse 5 complete cycles. Then please extend halfway (not fully) turn red handle away from you to lock. -Extend bottom grey part (closest to the base where the treads are) halfway, turn toward you to lock.
