It taste more like a milk shake to me. I drank it in the morning to give me an extra boost before getting my day started and I have to say it worked. I was very impressed with the quality of this shake.

I bought this on a whim to try and improve my diet. I am a medical student and often miss meals due to time constraints. After sampling it and loving the flavor I bought a carton and noticed a difference in my energy and overall health very quickly. Being able to have a fast nutrient rich snack or pair with a granola bar really helped get me back to normal protein intake. I was hooked on the "drinkable nutrients" lifestyle right away but then decided to explore options.. Because of the high cost I wanted to compare as many different brands as I could find to see if there was a cheaper alternative. I included ensure, protein milk, and many powdered drink mixes- they all tasted like chalky garbage compared to boost. This company has mastered masking weird flavor and texture that comes from high protein content drinks. I still sample every new protein drink I encounter and non have come close to boost for my palate. I sometimes get made fun of for drinking a "grandma drink" at work, but I think anyone with a hectic schedule can benefit from using products like this instead of skipping or missing meals. I'm much healthier now that I drink boost (vs missing breakfast or lunch nearly every day) and think it's absolutely worth the cost. The texture is somewhere between milk and a milkshake. Easily drinkable, very smooth, no chalky or tart vitamin-rich flavor. I like it so much I crave it just for the flavor sometimes. Highly recommend for any age!

I don't have much of an appetite but Boost always sounds appealing. I love the vanilla flavor and stick with that. I've tried chocolate and strawberry and don't like them as much, but that's just my personal preference. The vanilla tastes like a milkshake and feels more like a treat than a necessity. Just make sure to serve it cold to make it taste the best.

Boost is the greatest. I was in the hospital several years ago, could not eat, and they fed me Boost. Kept me alive. When I came home, I absolutely had to keep all the flavors in stock. I am NEVER without it. My favorite has become the peach flavor, but it's usually hard to find.. Hmmmmm good!!!!

I've been drinking a strawberry flavored boost for breakfast and vanilla flavored boost after evening workout every day for over a year. Just opened new cases of each type and they are horrible tasting now. They have a medicinal aftertaste. I don't know what changes were made but it's horrible. Too bad I will have to switch to another brand next shopping trip.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoy drinking Boost products and this cafe mocha flavor was amazing, I loved the consistency and the taste, as protein it doesn’t taste chalky, I also liked the after taste, I enjoy drinking boost frozen, I freeze it for 30 minutes and you shake it and it’s ready to drink, it mind blown, I also drinking it chilled and room temperature. I highly recommend Boost.
