But, this medication gave me intense and sometimes scary dreams, I slept with my eyes opened and dreamed over the background of my room. It isn't fun and I decided to stop taking this as I was allergy free but, exhausted in the morning.

Although my significant other has seasonal allergies that come and go if he's outside. He took a Xyzal pill & said he didn't really notice anything happening, but I noticed it made him quit sneezing & rubbing his nose/face every 5 minutes. I don't know if it was fast acting but it seemed quick enough for symptoms to reside. As for 24 hr effectiveness I have no definitive answer since he didn't go outside again, but at least he wasn't sneezing so it possibly worked for 24 hrs I guess.

I've been using xyzal for a month. My doctor prescribed it for me, then the pharmacist told me they sell it over the counter. I've been using this along with a nasal spray and I feel human again! My allergies are year round, but I'm most miserable in the winter and when it rains. I am always asked if I am sick because my nose gets red and I'm so congested. I have to breathe out of my mouth at night and have allergy shiners. I am so grateful for Xyzal. You don't appreciate things like breathing until you can't. Thanks for helping me breathe again!

I deal with seasonal allergies, and Xyzal has really helped in combating my symptoms. I take one pill at night, and it gives me relief from sneezing and drainage.
