This has been a staple in my house for as long as I can remember. I grew up on home brewed southern sweet tea and this is considered the "good tea" in my teeny tiny town. I will forever rave about this tea. This tea is always going to be in my cabinets and I plan on instilling the same thing in my children, you just cant beat the taste from you past that hasnt changed in over 20 years

Standard prepackaged black tea

For me, this is just the default of how Black Tea tastes. Is it the best black tea I've had? Definitely not. But I grew up drinking this tea with milk and sugar. It brews quickly and is fine for what I need it for. If I had the time to properly prepare loose leaf black tea, I would. But this is my lazy go to and will probably stay that way.

Lipton Black Tea is a fan-favorite I would say. Lots of people have this lying in their cupboards and this is also perfect to use for making sweet ice tea. Nothing wrong here, only lots of different ways to enjoy tea. Add a little sugar and it feels like summer.

Tea has changed, not just the packaging

The most recent box I bought still has the individually wrapped tea bags. However, it is not the same tea inside. At first I thought my taste buds were off. Then I checked the box thinking there was a new mint flavor and I picked up the wrong box, because it has a mild minty flavor now. But the box was the same. It is not just weak but is missing that trademark full bodied delicious flavor and have to agree it is terrible. Finally I googled it to see what was up. I was wondering why I kept dumping it thinking I made it wrong or it had been sitting too long. Have been drinking the old lipton tea since I was 5, now I am 55, so for fifty years. Guess it had a good run. Will never ever buy it again, it is barely drinkable now, and unfortunately no one else has that exact inexplicable "Lipton Tea Bag" Taste. I'll just buy Bigelow English Breakfast which is at least drinkable. So long to an era!

This is my favorite black tea but the only thing is I can’t leave the tea bag in the cup for long because it makes the cup too dark for my taste. Also the packs are unconvinced for carrying around during the day at work or any where I go to. I have to put the tea bags in the zip lock bag instead of just grab some and put in my purse or my handbag.

What happened?

I look forward to the Lipton tea I have enjoyed every day for breakfast for many years. I take a few nicely wrapped tea bags with me when out of town. My husband bought new box of tea, I did not see it but could tell right away something was very wrong with the tea. I brewed a stronger second cup and it still tasted nothing like Lipton tea. I looked at new packaging and am so disappointed this tea has changed to nothing recognizable to the brisk Lipton tea I look forward to every morning! It is the way I start my day! There is nothing to improve on with this tea. The wrapped tea bags were just as fresh to the very last tea bag. If you choose to package them unwrapped, why change the taste? Please bring back my brisk Lipton tea! In any packaging would be fine, but please go back to original blend of tea and taste!

No longer quality tea, foil just a gimmick

I, and my family, have been drinking Lipton tea for more than 50 years. First of all, I don't know what you have done with your tea, but it DEFINITELY does not have the same wonderful aroma the unused tea bags used to have, and the prepared tea does not taste as good either. What you sell now is a poor, cheap, imitation of the quality tea you used to sell. As for the foil packaging, once it's opened, it does NOT keep the tea fresh as there is no way to reseal it. I hate to say it, but I am about to stop buying Lipton and going with a better quality tea company.

I’m not a big tea drinker, usually only when I’m sick, & this super cheap flavor is consistent & does the trick. It’s not very flavorful, so you need to doctor it up with honey or something, but it soothes my throat & is a familiar taste when I’m under the weather.

Used to be good, Tastes terrible now

Lipton Black Tea used to be my favorite brand, that was until the recent change in packaging and taste. Lipton Tea now tastes like a wet carpet. Why would you change a winning formula for a losing idea? Don't you employ taste tester's? How could you let this inferior product continue to be sold as if its the same as the previous formula?
