I debated for a while about buying this or getting a new mattress to replace our 7 year old Serta king. I bounced around all the beds in our house with each of children as newborns and toddlers, so when I came back to my bed it just seemed hard. Bought this and it is literally like sleeping on a cloud. The only cons is I wish it came with a zippered cover and you also have to use the sheets with deep pockets if putting on a pillow top mattress.

I bought this about a month ago and am very glad I did. The mattress we have is just too firm. It was causing back and hip pain. I got the Serfs 4" pillow top and memory foam mattress topper and could not be happier. It is both soft and supportive. No more back or hip psin. It's like sleeping on a cloud.

Normally I’m a back sleeper but because of pregnancy need to sleep on my side. Each night I would wake up every half hour because my hips and back hurt. Desperate to be able to sleep and not in pain, we purchased this this mattress topper. It provides the needed cushion and does a great job cradling my pregnant body without putting too much pressure on hips and back. I’ve slept so much better! Well worth the purchase.

The actual pad & quilted topper are great! I’d give that 5 stars! However the mattress cover isn’t like a fitted sheet. You actually put your mattress in it. It did NOT fit. We got it most of the way on & were able to zip 3 sides. I KNOW I ordered the correct size but this cover was way too small. It’s says it will fit a mattress up to 17 inches. My son’s mattress plus the pad are only 12 inches but it still doesn’t fit. That part gets a 1 star!

Very comfortable, but smells strongly when opened. Its been about a month, and I can still smell it, but its not overpowering like when it was new. When I first got it home and opened it, the pillowtop was the wrong size. It was a full (said it on the label with the dimensions, and the label on the pillowtop bag said queen) the topper was the correct queen size. I promptly retuned to sams to exchange only to find out they can't take it back. They did give me a refund on gift card and I bought another one, but I had to dispose of the bad one. It has helped me sleep better, even shows on my fitbit sleep score.

So far, so good. We have not experienced hip pain since getting this mattress topper. That was our main problem before adding this. I am still deciding if I get a bit hotter with this OR if it's just me. I'd say my husband and I are very happy with it. Only problem we had was the zipper for the cover would not work. Not a big deal, I used something to keep it together.

I really enjoyed our Sert 4 inch pillow top for our KING size bed, however the one we purchased months later for our queen size guest room bed does not have the same 'securing' cover over the mattress. So, it shifts a lot. Not a HUGE deal, but would help if the company made it the same as they do the King-size version... Otherwise, the topper made our sleep SO comfortable for our king size bed and better for the queen. I would give the comfort level a 5 star rating.

Love it. Easy to open and insert into its cover after full expansion. Expected it to smell, but not a scent of off-gassing. We still left it in an empty room supported on some boxes so both sides had access to air for a few days. But this precaution not needed; perhaps already aired out at the Alabama plant from which it was shipped. Again, absolutely perfect feel and sleep atop an old, tired, conventional mattress.

We've had this topper for several weeks now. Wife thinks it's ok. But the jury is still out for me. Lucky You, she wanted me to write the review. She enjoys that her elbow pains have subsided but are not gone. I on the other hand get lost in the foam. I sonk down onto it and the air can't circulate around me so I end up sweating all night long. I get so lost in there that it makes it hard to roll over. Once I lat down basically, that will be my position for the night! In the morning it is even worse. Takes me 3 or 4 tries to get up using a rocking motion, Just to situp to get off the mattress. Another thing is that the edges seem rounded so I always feel like I'm going to fall off the bed. So a lack of sleep trying to get cool and the extra exercise to get out of bed in the morning are pluses I guess. On a more positive note 180.00 dollars to make the wife happy seems cheap!

Was a bit worried about some of the negative reviews but glad I purchased based on the good reviews! Our not too old Memory Foam Matress was a bit too firm and my Husband was having lower back pain every morning! This topper is pretty soft and you do sink into it which cradles your body and supports your back. NO MORE LOWER BACK PAIN! Also, we were worried after 24 hours when the memory foam was still hard and bunched up in several spots! I was sick about thinking I would have to return it but after reading the instructions we kept it on top of our spare bed for over 48 hours and it was finally fully expanded. Maybe it took longer because of the bad packaging along with the cold winter temp. The warmth of the heater helped it along well. Glad I purched it and waited it out. I did place an extra matress cover over it to keep it in place so it does not move around anymore.
