UNPACKING AND SETUP: It came in an easy-to-open box, the 3" foam rolled and tightly bound and the 1" padding packed underneath it. Instructions and warranty were enclosed. I laid the foam on top of the mattress and, with scissors, carefully cut away the outside plastic which covered the foam roll. The mattress unrolled naturally, I removed the protective sheet that was rolled with the foam, and within minutes the foam had expanded to the full 76x80 King size. ODOR: There was a slight, not unpleasant, odor at first. We let it air out for a few hours before putting it on the mattress. We had been concerned that we may not be able to sleep on it for a while, but that was not a problem. By mid afternoon the odor had subsided to the point that it was barely noticeable, and we put the pad on, tucked the skirt around the mattress, and made the bed. COMFORT AND SUPPORT: Very comfortable. We are sleeeping very well with this pad. Support is outstanding when lying on the back, and excellent when on one's side. My wife and I both have back issues - these did not go away just because we got a new topper, but we did sleep well and woke up with little pain. HEAT: Some toppers have garnered a lot of complaints because they got too hot at night. We did not feel any of this at all. Non-issue. QUALITY: Can't judge long-term quality yet, but it came flawless and seems to be well made. And yes, the pad is machine washable - instructions are on the pad tag. No regrets!

I bought this to go on top of my tempurpedic mattress in hopes that it would help with the neck and shoulder pain I have been having. It is extremely comfortable. I am a side sleeper and this, along with a good pillow, has taken a lot of the stress off my shoulder. It is also more comfortable to sleep on my back. I like it so much that I just ordered another one.

I bought the pillow-top for my 9 year old son's bed which was my old full size bed. The mattress is over 20 years old and very stiff. Rather then spend hundreds of dollars for a new mattress, I thought I'd try this first and he loves. He is finally staying in his own bed rather than crawling into our more "cushy" bed.

Has trouble with back sleeping on a traditional mattress and after reading reviews selected this. There IS a smell with the pad as with all of them but we started using it the first day and can heartily recommend it to anybody one. Price is better at Sam’s as I expected. So far it is working out great!

Purchased three weeks ago to go atop the memory gel foam 10” mattress bought elsewhere. It made a wonderful difference in sleeping a lot cooler and just enough softness to allow a bit more relief on pressure points. Easy to install and doesn’t shift around the mattress like an older model did. I’d recommend it for the price and comfort level.

Was a bit worried about some of the negative reviews but glad I purchased based on the good reviews! Our not too old Memory Foam Matress was a bit too firm and my Husband was having lower back pain every morning! This topper is pretty soft and you do sink into it which cradles your body and supports your back. NO MORE LOWER BACK PAIN! Also, we were worried after 24 hours when the memory foam was still hard and bunched up in several spots! I was sick about thinking I would have to return it but after reading the instructions we kept it on top of our spare bed for over 48 hours and it was finally fully expanded. Maybe it took longer because of the bad packaging along with the cold winter temp. The warmth of the heater helped it along well. Glad I purched it and waited it out. I did place an extra matress cover over it to keep it in place so it does not move around anymore.

I purchased this topper because the mattress I had was causing me to wake every morning with a backache. I decided to go for the 4 inch version to ensure I had the most comfort (even though the 3 inch was on sale.) After the first night of sleep, I woke up without pain. I've slept on this topper for about three weeks and so far, I have no complaints. It really does make the bed more comfortable. Now, a few other things you might want to know. The topper arrived in a cardboard box but it was only wrapped in plastic - the plastic was not completely sealed though which I found odd. The topper did have a bright yellow color on part of it (which some other folks have said looked like urine.) I am not sure why the color is only partly there but having the topper not completely sealed in the plastic bag made me wonder. There is a slight smell once it is opened up, but it dissipated pretty quickly. These things weren't issues for me, but if you tend to be particular, you might want to consider passing on this item. I just wanted a comfortable mattress topper and this fit the bill. (Mine also came with a zippered cover as well.)

Bought this bed topper as a Christmas gift but then also bought one for my husband and I due to the great price . It’s soft and very comfortable! Definitely would recommend this product and any other bedding -especially the deep pocket hotel sheets from Sam’s Club.

Excellent product and a fantastic value. We have bought 3 of these in various sizes and they have all performed well and provided great support and comfort. We just bought this for my daughter’s dorm room and it made the hard dorm mattress so much better. It was the first thing she requested before even heading off to school.
