Packaging: Classic and reminiscent of childhood—- simple, recognizable and solid. Sweetness: just the right amount without being too much. Portion: easy to pour and portion out, but let's be honest. It's easy to go back for more! Milk: The perfect combo! The flavor holds up really well in milk and doesn't get lost. Sogginess: stays crunchy longer than most cereals before softening. Frosted flakes are perfectly crispy and they are coated evenly and light so they aren't overly sweet. Growing up I had them with whole milk or 2% but for this bowl I found out they pair perfectly with oatmilk.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I was a kid in the 1970's, my mother had Tony the Tiger Frosted Flakes front and center on our breakfast bar every morning. My brother and I couldn't wait to pour cold milk over those shiny Frosted Flakes and let them soak in all that milk. We would eat our Pop Tarts that mom had let bake in the oven where the strawberry filling oozed out through the tiny holes on top. YUM! By the time we finished our Pop Tarts, our Frosted Flakes milky lake was ready to slurp. Oh I can still taste that pure sugar surge that immediately gave me a burst of good energy. I was ready for my elementary school day to begin in the best of ways, on a Tony the Tiger Sugary High! They're GRRRR-ATE!!!

I eventually became unenthused by them. Apparently, absence does truly make the heart grow fonder. A full bowl with banana slices added...No notes! I had no idea I missed them until I did. Keeping the taste the same all of these years is also very endearing and nostalgic. I think I'll have some now ;)

They are crunchy they are sweet and they are just down right delicious. Definitely one of my favorite cereals. And I love that it is fortified with essential nutrients like iron.
