It's paper plates no coating, better for environment. These plates are strong and makes me feel better than having some chemical coating on them. Chinet been around for years and are reliable.

I love these plates and am not sure why they are not carried in the stores. We have 3 Sam’s Clubs in the Dayton, OH, area and none of the stores carry these.

Excellent dessert/appetizer plates for every day or extra special events. Enough for people to use more than one, since they always get set down or thrown out before their use is done.
