The cost is more than reasonable and the product is firm enough that it holds hot or cold foods very well. Cutting meats and veggies is easy and does not destroy the plate. I use them all the time and have been crazy about them for the better part of my life, with much success. They work for me, for the destructive animals I love to call my children, and for my big strong ox of a husband. I am retired and that means I am retired from doing dishes as well, so Cheers to Chinet for being FABULOUS!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sometimes it's just necessary to splurge on paper products. Funeral receptions are without a doubt one of those events. We ran out of our supply and while almost embarrassed to admit this, several of us ran the plates under hot water and were able to use them again. (This was done within a couple of family groups, not a bunch of strangers using other peoples used plates) The little kids didn't have any trouble with handling their plates because these stand up to every helping from a toddler to a growing teen boy and people of all ages. I would highly recommend spending the money on this brand, don't skimp where you are already having a day that is stressful. Do yourself a favor and go with these!
