For such a long time, Chinet sturdy plates have been a favorite of mine because they do not leak, break, fold in half, or fall apart when faced with holding a real meal. This platter is such a good option to hold meals in serving rather than dirtying a full size platter that then needs to get put in machine or washed by hand. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the past, the thought of using a paper plate as  a serving platter never crossed my mind. This is mostly due to my fear that the paper plate would not be strong enough. I put a Chinet Classic White Platter to the test and was very impressed. I served chips and salsa. The salsa was wet and I started losing confidence that the plate wouldn't hold up as it started getting soggy. I thought the salsa would soak right through. To my surprise it never did. While the plate may have felt soggy, it remained strong and durable. With these plates, I have served a variety of liquid rich entrees and these plates have not disappointed.

It's nice and all to deck out the kitchen table with the china and flatware...but a pain to do all the dishes. I used Chinet for Thanksgiving dinner...we piled the plates high and watched TV with no leakage or spillage. We'll be doing the same for Christmas in a couple days....using the chinet plates to plate the turkey breast, veggies, AND for dinner. Anything that saves me from a mountain full of dishes is good for me!

Chinet products are sturdy and won't bend or wobble while holding your platter and taking food. There is room for food and the silverware. No need to make two trips when you reach your table.

They are both casual and a little bit special. So often my guests prefer paper over China dishes and these platters fit the bill. Of course saving on dish-washing never hurts. There's plenty of room on the platters to same everything. They hold up and don't leak. I also used them at the memorial dinner for my son. His favorite food was spaghetti, so that is what we served. No messy spills and the platters held up well.
