Best Paper Dinner Plates On The Market

These are without a doubt the best Paper Dinner Plates on the market. They are the thickest, strongest, and most durable Paper Dinner Plates I've found yet with the exception of Chinet's Oval Dinner Plates which are made the same way but I haven't purchased yet !!

Not the same Chinet

The plates are not sturdy like they were in the past. Everything you put on the plate seeps through. You need to use 2 or sometimes 3 plates to avoid food seeping on your table. It also bends up when you put it in the microwave even for short periods of time. I will not purchase these plates again.

Best plate for only selected uses

Have been buying this product for more than 15 years. At one point in the past these were the best paper plates around. During the pandemic the quality has noticeably changed in that any liquid on the plate (meat juices or butter or even liquid from cooked veggies) will soak through the plate and potentially stain surface below. This did not happen regularly before 4-5 years ago. Now its just another paper plate in a crowded field.

Hi! No one likes a soggy party, and this one is on us. Chinet Classic® plates and bowls are made from pre-consumer recycled material and pressed into form. We love using recycled materials, but it means we are constantly re-evaluating and optimizing the manufacturing process. Because of that, you didn't get our best product, and we apologize. We are working to correct the issue. In the meantime, feel free to contact a representative by email at MyLife@mychinet.com or call 1-800-847-4129. Thank you!

The new Chinet!

Plates are far inferior to the old plates that were sold as Chinet. New plates absorb the food on your plates making them soggy and weak. You need a minimum of 2 plates if you have any hope of retaining your food on that plates. Not the plates they were!!! I stopped buying them because of the above stated reasons and only purchase them this time because there was no Dixie plates available and I was hoping they would have figured out there are problems!! In the past they were always sold out but now there are plenty available now and Dixie is sold out. Who would have thought!!

Ope! Sounds like a party foul on our part. Here's the truth—Chinet Classic® products are made from pre-consumer recycled material and pressed into form. We love using recycled materials, but it means we are constantly re-evaluating and optimizing the manufacturing process. Recently, all Chinet Classic® molded fiber tableware transitioned to a new Oil & Grease Resistant (OGR) barrier technology. Because of that, you didn't get our best product, and we apologize. We are working to correct the issue. In the meantime, feel free to contact a representative by email at MyLife@mychinet.com or call 1-800-847-4129. Thank you, Deborah!

Did not meet expectation

I am sorry but it did not meet the expectation, I don't know if I got only the bad batch but this one curve out that the food you place in the middle just pop out. It's not flat. Poor quality, I'm just afraid that my guests when they cut meat with a little pressure the food may bounce back to their faces bec it is curved out. It only shows oil of the food on the bottom of the plate. I don't know if it is going to leak but I told guest to double the plate being afraid it may leak. Not microwable: Plate becomes soft with food that has sauce. Imagine this, you are holding the other half of the plate with food, and the other half that has no support will bend down, the food can be on the floor. That soft. The manufacturer should test this product again.

Great bulk price!

Chinet plates are excellent! The order arrived at my doorstep, promptly. I was pleased to find the plates in a greater quantity, at a significant savings, through Sam's Club. My spouse and I are retired. It's so easy to use and toss these plates, cutting down on clean-up time in the kitchen.

Decent

It's a sturdy paper plate, but because it's not sealed it becomes flimsy with moist food. Oily food soaks through and sweet potato skins sticks to the plate surface. If you are environmentally conscious go ahead and get them, if you want something to hold all the sauces and salad dressings, get waxed / coated plates.

never again

A one time excellent, go to product has deteriorated into the worst ....most plates look "not finished"..."incomplete" or "rushed through the manufacturing process" ... never again !! Might as well serve food on the floor - because these plates will either collapse, leak or fold over spilling the plate contents all over the floor

Plates are WEAK!

These plates had been selected because they looked more sturdier than the club brand plates. We were wrong any sense of moisture from hot food will send this plate to the floor. These are better double plated and then they have some back bone. Other than that it will be food on the floor while in transit to table.

Love these plates!

Large plates! Biodegradable! I purchase these to use around the house and also for cookouts and family dinners. Not flimsy, holds up under pressure, but you should know does absorbs liquids. Not so good for long periods of time when using for saucy, liquid meals.
