Ordered on 4/6/2020 & recieved shortly after. After putting a stack of these in the cupboard, evey time we'd open the cupboard door there was an awful chemical smell. When I grabbed one of these plates to use it, the center section, where the food goes, was slightly tan in color; the bottoms were sililarly colored. I took several more plates from the big package and they were all the same. I had to put the entire $18 worth of them into the recycling bin outside because the smell had spread to the entire kitchen and pantry.

My spouse's casserole liquids went right through them!!!! effected the finish on our portable tables, (had them for years) NOT VERY HAPPY, glad we did NOT serve a guest food on these. Please tell me how to return these and get another set that will NOT leak liquid out the bottom. Regards, Dennis Stager, USN retired. Apache Junction AZ

I have purchased this particular Chinet plate for years from Sam’s Club and never had a problem. Ordered a new pack this past week and the quality is certainly lacking. It leaks significantly to the point that we have to use two plates which kinda defeats it purpose! Once this pack is used up, I will not be buying it again. So disappointing.

As with everything nowadays, the selection at Sam’s is hit or miss. They were out of the usual hefty plates, and I remember Chinet being high quality but a little costly. I was having guests so I decided to splurge and buy these. What a mistake. I really wanted to call the manufacturer and request a refund, any wet food you put on them dished through to the table. Thank goodness I discovered this while at the glass kitchen table. I would have been very upset if they bled through on the wood table. I don’t know how it’s getting such high reviews, they must only be using them for dry foods…TERRIBLE!

I bought this one month ago, it was a splurge. Chinet use to be a quality, high end paper plate. I was shocked to see the quality standard and how far they have falllen. What happened to no leak, and sturdy? These are not cheap to buy, even my husband noticed how bad they were and mentioned it to me. These leaked thru almost every hot meal we made, we used 2 plates just to make them sturdy. And the entire stack of plates have some sort of permanent dent in the plate, you can really tell a big difference from the Logo and the quality of the Chinet dinner plates. I would add pictures if this site would let me! If you are expecting the quality of the past, do not buy, these are cheaply made now.
