I feel fine using it.

I mix Metamucil in cold water and I drink 1or 2 times a day. It definitely helps control my weight and I think it helps improve my cholesterol and blood sugar level. It tastes good, so I don’t have any problem drinking it daily. I always buy it from Sam’s for the best price!

Solid product. Provides a palatable source of fiber that promotes healthy bowel microflora. Best to put 1-3 tablespoonsful in a small sports bottle then add a cup of cool water. Shake the powder and water until well mixed then drink it quickly before it gels. The flavor is better and doing it this way avoids the ick-factor by avoiding gelling. You can follow up with coffee, juice, or some other beverage to help dilute it. I usually take it after eating breakfast.

So, the good thing about this product is that it does contain some fiber, and psyllium husk fiber has been shown in numerous studies to be very beneficial. However, and this is a big one, I would never recommend this product. If you look closely at the ingredients, the first ingredient is sucrose; sucrose is sugar. This contains 16 g of sugar for every 6 g of fiber. That's almost three times as much sugar as the amount of fiber in every serving. In my mind, that amount of sugar is just ridiculous and unnecessary. Skip this one, and find a psyllium husk supplement that isn't mostly sugar. Your body will thank you!

orange flavor in line with TANG, not at all unpleasant. Mixes well with cold water in a shaker bottle. Real sugar doesn't leave an unpleasant after taste. Fiber action isn't harsh or catastrophic, user is still in control.. Major downer..this product can thicken rapidly and i found it necessary to drink rapidly.

I take it on a daily basis for chronic constipation. It works well for me. one precaution though is to read and heed the directions and drink water drink water drink water. Metamucil and plenty of water make poop. Metamucil and a little water make concrete.

My husband takes this every day, buying this at Sam's Club is the smart choice. You get the TWO containers of 48.2 oz for 31.98, where in regular stores you can get 36.8 oz for somewhere around $28 to $30 some dollars. Something like .29/serving vs .81/serving

Duh! Its Metamucil works as advertised.
