I can't begin to describe how upset I am that Simple Pleasures Lavender and Vanilla is no longer available. I LOVED that scent and LOVED washing my clothes in the detergent with the same scent in fabric softener and dryer sheets. Now I don't know what to do. The new lavender scent is HORRIBLE!!!! I smelled it in the store and would not buy it. It was disgusting! I would love to know why the company decided to change the formula to this awful one! I think we should all boycott downy until they bring it back!!!! If anyone has any suggestions on other brands that smell similar, please post it so we can all be happy again!

I smell my blanket til I fall asleep. The bottle is super lux and looks so expensive but it’s definitely not. I’m totally going to keep using this fabric softener. I hope there’s dryer sheets too because I’m going crazy with this scent. Love it!

No issues with staining my clothing. I don’t find the fragrance to be too strong or over powering. Just a nice calm and subtle freshness.

I was very upset to discover that the lavender/vanilla scent had been changed. I'm not even sure when it happened because I bought it in bulk and I just recently ran out. Unfortunately I went with another brand because I didn't like the new scent. I sincerely hope you change it back but untill then I guess all I can do is wait.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging of this looks more premium compared to a traditional fabric softener, the lid to pour the liquid in looks like a rose. I love that this definitely makes my clothes soft but the only drawback is the scent. I was expecting more of a lavender or vanilla scent but it smells more of a powdery scent. Doesn’t smell like vanilla or lavender at all which is kinda misleading. Other than that it does the job of making clothes soft!
