[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is great! I gave it a 5 star rating. It's directions were easy to understand. After doing a load of laundry, I chose a load of blankets, the scent is really actually calming. Vanilla, musk, and freesia. I never knew that combination to have that effect. I wish that the cap had more of a safety seal on it, because it did leak a little and the cap came off when it fell from my couch to the floor. That would be my one and only complaint. Otherwise, I'm replacing sheets and going to start using this product. My children even SEEMED to sleep well with their comforters after using.

I don't care what other people say, this stuff is amazing. I don't smell or see a difference between the "vanilla lavender" and the "Lavender Serenity". According to the back of the bottles and this website it seems that their exactly the same for the exception of a "new look". Once again, I love this stuff and i recommend this product to anyone!

In terms of value for money, it’s reasonably priced, especially given its effectiveness. My laundry feels fresh for days, and the scent is calming, which I adore. This is the BEST Downy to use! It smells amazing and definitely has a calm scent, a little goes a long way and I’ve gotten everyone I know hooked on this smell! If you haven’t tried it please do, I promise you’ll love it too, and Downy please don’t ever discontinue this scent!

Dang! I thought it was just me! I am so pleased that I found this website. I rarely write product reviews. My laundry has smelled bad ever since I switched to this product. It doesn't seem to soften my laundry, either. I love the scent, but it doesn't carry through to the end of the wash cycle. My laundry smells like the dog has been running through it. It's not just musty, it's nasty. Also, having an older-type washer which I bought recycled/reconditioned (like new), I do not have the benefit of a fabric softener dispenser. I can no longer find the Downy Ball anywhere. I've tried using the Downy beads, but they are quite expensive per use and I have to use quite a bit per load to make a difference in the quality of the laundry. Unfortunately I purchased the El Jumbo size DSPLSL, and it will take forever to go through it. My money was wasted. I would like a refund, or a free coupon for a similar size, but better performing Downy...and the Downy Ball. Maybe you have some extras in the Downy museum? :-)

I love this stuff! It takes me back to Grandma's house. Her sheets and towels always smelled of lavender. And now mine do to! I had tried to create the long lasting scent with lavender balls of soap in the linen closet but it never seemed to last long enough out of the closet. Thank you so much for a wonderful product that takes me back to Grandma's.

I’ve always loved downy products but this will definitely be something I will be buying once I’m out because it is worth the money!

Now I only use softener on bedding because it isn't ideal to run through the dryer and can create issues on certain clothing articles. So I would only consider using this on shirts and pants and not towels and intimate clothing . The bottle is very pretty and super simple to use. Considering i would only use on some of my articles and not every load it will last a long time.

I am not one to write a review on anything but I officially ran out of my stockpiled Lavender Vanilla and am so upset. Laundry feels like even more of a chore when you don't love the scent of it as it comes out of the dryer. It's amazing the difference between getting into clean sheets and getting into clean sheets with your favorite fabric softener. I don't know what it will take but I am begging your company to change it back! I do not want to search for a new product as I have been using the same product for so many years. Please do your best! I MISS MY OLD SCENT!
