Since safety is our top priority here at Crest, we can assure you that our Pro-Health Clinical rinse has been thoroughly evaluated to be safe when used as directed. We'd like to mention that oral care products containing CPC, an ingredient in our Pro-Health rinse, may cause a temporary aftertaste or temporary change in the taste of food in a small percentage of people. CPC stays in the mouth for long periods of time. Aftertaste/change in the taste of food typically goes away shortly after product use is stopped, and please be assured that Pro-Health Rinse does not cause permanent taste alteration. We do recommend that you discontinue use of this particular product if this has been your experience, and we suggest giving another Crest rinse version a try instead. While all of our products are safe and effective, you may not be able to tolerate a particular formulation. If irritation persists or becomes uncomfortable discontinue use and consult with your dentist. Your dentist may recommend an alternate version such as a sensitivity product.
