I have had problems with detergents for years and having one that does not have perfumes and dyes in it saves me from rashes. The liquid form ensures that I don't get that powder residue left in my clothes that always made me itch. I do have one complaint, the stores in my area have stopped stocking the liquid and are now only stocking the powder.

This product might be a great cleaning product but where are the instructions for usage (cap has #'s on it--what do they mean)? I bought this. Got ready to use it and had to come to my laptop to figure out what the 1,2,3,4,5 on the cap actually meant? Do you know? If you have an HE washer or a regular washer, which line do you fill to? Don't buy this product if you don't know--very difficult to use if you don't have a way to look up the info. Definitely not for your mother or grandmother!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who has had to use hypo-allergenic laundry products her whole life, due to eczema and psoriasis, it's not just about which fetergent is most gentle, but also about which works best. Tide is simply the best. While advertising campaigns can say a brand is recommended by this association or that association, Tide doesn't make me itch, and it really gets out the stains, even the oil-based. I had been using Tide Free & Gentle pods recently, but now I remember why the liquid is so much better. My first loads using this liquid came out so much brighter and cleaner. I'll be switching back to the liquid.

I gotta admit I didn't think the free and gentle was going to clean the clothes as tied with scent . I was proven wrong the free and gentle got rid of all the grime all the stains and left my clothes looking amazing for my family.

Now I've been trying the tide one for over month and I've been loving it. I'm almost out of it and will purchase. I think the clothes come out cleaner and brighter.

Hi guys, recently the 92 oz/ 64 load bottle appears to have been replaced with an 84 oz/ still 64 load bottle, but the measuring cap seems to be unchanged. This seems to be a bit deceptive to me, although the new detergent appears to be slightly more dense/viscous (when combined with some of the old detergent, there's a clear separation of phases). If the new formula is more concentrated, shouldn't the measuring cap reflect that?

If you have ever used it, you are aware of the superior job it does. Although this product has been around for years it has a new feature. And I must say I'm impressed. Its revised safety cap shape allows for excess detergent to safely drain back into the bottle without spilling.

There are so many scented products that we can't use because it will cause her to have a reaction and itch. I tested a small set of clothing with this detergent to see how it would work with her skin and she had no reaction! Will definitely purchase this detergent!!

Been using tide free and clear for years because I have an allergy to Methylisothiazolinone and Methylchloroisothiazolinone. The new formula now contains Benzisothiazolinone which is in the same family so I can no longer use. If you are developing hives or itching this could be the reason. My dermatologist said it is an extremely common allergen and to avoid.

Really disappointed that benzisothiazolinone was added to the new formulation. Puffy eyes, swollen cheek, itchy face and contact dermatitis that looks and feels like cystic pimples after sleeping on pillow cases washed in the new formula. (Listing these symptoms for others who may also be allergic to benzisothiazolinone because it's terrible.)
