Horrible scent, horrible new formula
The new scent and formula is not appealing and the soap has caused an outbreak on my hands. I am very disappointed in this change and wouldn't recommend this product to people with sensitive skin. Dawn, please change the formula back. Look at the internet. Nobody likes it! People are scouring stores for old formula bottles just to avoid using your new product.

Dawn Clean Scent
The new Dawn scent is awful. Overpowering and sickening, no one wants to wash their dishes with heavy perfume. I've been using Dawn for many years, why would they mess with such a good product? Please go back to the original scent because I'm looking for a new dish washing product. Loyal customers are hard to find!!!

Refreshing Rain Scent is AWFUL!
I have used Dawn for decades. I started using the Platinum when it first came out. I just grab a bottle at the store and go. A couple months ago, I got a new bottle. First time doing the dishes the smell was terrible! I thought I had grabbed the wrong bottle. I looked and it was the Platinum, but I noticed the scent on the bottle was different. Refreshing Rain is similar to Fresh Scent so I didn't notice it. I went to several stores looking for the plan Fresh Scent and it is no where to be found. I see on Dawn's website it is not even listed anymore as an option. I'm extremely disappointed in this changed. The smell is way to storage and overbearing. I will have to go to another brand of dish soap.

Offensive new scent
As others commented, the new scent is not pleasant. It reminds me of a laundry scent I used while I was pregnant with morning sickness. Unfortunately, the new scent makes my stomach queasy now and I will have to find some other dish detergent with a non offensive scent.

Change in scent is terrible!
I have long used Dawn Ultra Platinum and loved it. I just bought a new bottle and the scent was changed! Now it smells like old lady perfume. You know, the cloying, overly-floral kind that makes you want to choke. I'm sad I will have to look for a new product now! Dawn has been so great for its grease cutting properties. But if it stinks like this, I won't be able to use it anymore. Yuck.

"Clean Scent" is revolting
Clean scent is disgusting. My eyes are still burning and the scent is now in my skin. I thought I'd be able to tough it out to finish the bottle but no way. I came here to ask for scent free. Found the free and clear but it has lemon scent--that is not what free and clear generally means. Then I see in your comment you did take scent out but only in the small upside down bottles. None of the local stores carry the free and clears. CLEAN has no scent!

Like original alot better
I bought this because I couldn't find original. Big mistake. Hard to rinse off. I had grease in pan, poured full strength to wash and rinse and the pan was still greasy. That never happened with original. I am thinking they didn't test product. I do not recommend this product at all. I also don't like odors and it smells funny.

If you live in a hard-water area, you may need to use more dishwashing liquid. Another cause of dishwashing liquid not cleaning effectively is the water temperature being too low. Water should be 105 to 115°F. We hope you find this helpful. Terrible New Scent
I switched over to Dawn Platinum because of the awesome scent and quality job. However, the most recent bottle I bought, the scent is horrendous. Please bring back the original scent. I will not be buying this any more because of the new awful smell.

AWFUL SCENT
The new Refreshing Rain scent is harsh and sends a spike right up my nose. It does not wash off hands and stays on dishes and sponges. No amount of extra scrubbing seems to remove it. The scent is extremely sharp and hurts the inside of my sinuses. I have smelt this exact aromachemical in some perfumes before and I cannot wear them due to the chemical smell. Why would Dawn use this in their dishwashing liquid? It triggers my allergies, asthma and induces migraines. Had to throw out a practically brand new bottle because of the shrill scent. I prefer the original scent of Dawn. The noxious smelling aromachemical is most likely Norlimbanol, Amberwood, Cetalox or Ambroxan. If you can't stand those notes used in perfume - stay away from Dawn's Refreshing Rain dishwashing liquid.

Horrible new scent
I’ve used Dawn my entire life. The new scent, Refreshing Rain, of Dawn Platinum is horrible. The scent is so awful that I will be giving this bottle away and changing to a different brand. Add new scents, but please keep the light original scent that so many of us have loved.
