We suggest removing the sprayer from the empty bottle by turning it counterclockwise to release it. Next, remove and discard the disposable cap from the refill bottle. Finally, place the sprayer on a full refill bottle and give ¼ turn in a clockwise rotation to secure and ensure the dip tube and trigger are in the same direction. It may be the perfect option for you. Speaking of the trigger concerns you've had, be sure the yellow circle, made between the nozzle and top of the spray, is visible. The yellow circle must be lined up exactly in order for the trigger to spray easily. If the yellow circle is off, even by a little bit, it can permanently damage the trigger.
