I was hesitant to use at first because I thought it would taste like ravioli in a can but surprisingly it did not. It really does taste like a traditional tomato sauce. I find it to be very similar to the other brands. I also like the fact that it comes in a glass jar:)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not sure how much this retails for, but it’s a good amount you get! It lasted me about three meals personally. I’m normally a store brand pasta sauce kinda girl, but I did really enjoy this. It tastes great, is seasoned well, feels hearty (where a lot of store brands can be watery), and is actually filled with vegetables (not just filler junk). Plus, it’s a great size jar to keep if you do that. All around, just a great sauce!

After years and years of greatly enjoying the traditional style sauce at least once, and often twice a week, we are going to have to try a different brand, or brands, until we find something we like. The olive oil version of the sauce is just not good. It would be great if Ragu could offer the "original" old world style and, if you must, the olive oil version as well. By reading many reviews, I'm not alone in my thinking. Please bring back the old one!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoyed this sauce and I typically do not buy this brand. It had a subtle taste and I liked that it was made with olive oil. The jar was also much larger than the other brands I have purchased. I used it on ravioli and then the extra on some angel hair and enjoyed both dishes! Would buy again.

: I'm near hysterics. I have been eating Ragu since i'm a child and it was my favorite. Did the company change hands? Is this the decision of some over educated staff member who possibly never tasted it? You do [not] fool with perfection. Now it just taste to sweet or perhaps it has green pepper in it. It's awful. Please just put it back the way it was. [IF SOMETHING ISN'T BROKEN DO NOT FIX IT ...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the taste of Ragu pasta sauce. The tomato flavor is so deep and intense. It truly makes my simple pasta dish into a yummy Italian meal! Sometimes I saute some onions and mushrooms and then add the sauce to get my veggies in. Great for a quick weeknight dinner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Ragu for One Old World Style Traditional Sauce, 4.4 oz, 4 count, from Tryit Sampling. I received it as a free sample, and I love the delicious taste that it gaves to my cooked food. The sauce is rich & smooth.

I was going to make spaghetti and I have this type of sauce, Old World Style, Traditional, now with olive oil. They were out of my favorite which is with onion and garlic. It's going in the garbage. I see it barely gets over 3 stars. I know why. I wont even cook noodles because I'm not wasting more money or time. I even tried adding parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. It's just not good.

It is a very versatile sauce, that can be used from pasta to pizzas, and it has a great consistency, not too thick or watery. The only downside for me is that the source itself comes a bit bland, but you can always add a seasoning of your choice. Overall, a great sauce!
