We liked the the old recipe MUCH better. I would not recommend this new recipe to anyone that liked the old sauce. My knowledge of business tells me the ONLY reason you'd mess with a good thing is to make more money - or at least not make less money. Hopefully you can figure out a way to make more money (or not make less money) and bring back the tasty old stuff at the same old price (and in the same size jar).

I have always used Ragu, but now the version I use only comes in Chunky. I didn't think I would like it because I add a ton of vegetable to my sauce, but it still has the same great flavor. I always add my own twist of seasonings to anything jarred, so this is just fine.

I was so disappointed. I just got the recipe for my since passed away mom mom’s meatballs and told my wife that we had to get Ragu because that’s what she used. We made the meatballs with love and placed them into the crock pot to simmer in the sauce. I dunked an extra meatball in the ragu to test it and to my dismay, I immediately noticed that something has changed. It is now too sweet and they removed the minced onions. I also saw they added olive oil. I don’t understand why companies do this. It was a recipe that lasted generations and now it’s a disaster. I’m only hoping I can doctor it up to salvage my Christmas Eve surprise for my family. Bring back the old Ragu!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the fact that this is a single serving. My kids do not like sauce so I'm the only one that does. It's a pain to open a jar of sauce and then watch it mold before I get to finish it. I felt like I was just throwing my money away. Ragu sauce is not bitter and the fact that it comes in a single packet is perfect for me. I just heat it up a little (once it's on my food) and it's ready to go! I know it sounds crazy, but it's perfect for camping or going on vacation as it can be stored anywhere.

I get it! As a business, we must remain relevant by improving and inventing new recipe’s. When it’s not broke, what was there to fix! My dishes have changed in flavor and I have been forced to substitute the sauce. Ragu is family! Ragu is not junk or some strange unknown sauce. Why didn’t you just create a separate sauce and call it something else. Fix it! I need my sauce back…!

My family has been using Old World Style Traditional Sauce for over 40 years. Its was the base of many of our recipes. The change that Ragu has made to the sauce has made it completely unpalatable. Everyone I know has stoped using this new Ragu sauce and switched brands. Please bring back the old recipe.

I opened a big jar, poured it into my meat and tasted it like I always do. It tasted horrible. I then smelled it, and as another reviewer said, I immediately thought the sauce was bad. I checked the date on the jar to see that it wasn't. Had another family member smell it, and they agreed it smelled like it was bad. Had I not poured the whole jar into 2 lbs. of meat that I needed to make lasagna, I would've tossed it all in the trash. Will not buy this new recipe again.

The bold flavors and chunks of tomatoes are delicious and filling and add just the right touch of old Italy to any pasta. I highly recommend Ragu Old World Style sauce for your next spaghetti night!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this as a base for my sauce. I brown hamburger and add tomatoes and extra seasons. I have even used it for my bake spaghetti. I place the sauce with pasta and cover with cheese. This product is tasty and has improved over the years.
