[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This past year, my family has been spending more on pasta sauces because my daughters love spaghetti so much. I’ve found that you really get what you pay for, and the best sauces tend to cost a bit more than the value ones. Admittedly, I haven’t bought Ragu in awhile, but I was willing to give it a try. I enjoyed the flavor and texture of the Old World Style sauce from Ragu. It seems like the brand has improved in quality, and it didn’t taste too sugar-y, which I liked. I didn’t notice any tomato chunks which was a little disappointing, but if you are weird about texture, then this is real smooth. The packaging is appealing, though it looks like most of the other Ragu choices. I used the entire jar with a full box of spaghetti, and it seemed to be a perfect amount of sauce to soak up the noodles. My kids had seconds which is a nod to this being enjoyable by them. I’m not sure if I’ll drop my current favorite brands for this one, but I will consider adding it to my rotation.

I've used Ragu only once or twice before. I grew up using other brands, but I was pleasantly surprised by Ragu. This is a great sauce with great flavor and can be used in multiple dishes. I used mine for small personal pizzas that I made with my son. The rest I used for spaghetti. We liked the flavor and didn't have to season the sauce as much as I do with other brands. I will be trying different varieties.

I try often to make my own sauce, but when I'm in a pinch I usually use a store brand sauce. However, the "flavors" are very limited. My family and I tried this sauce and we're sold! Its delicious! So much easier than making my own, and by far more flavor than other brands I've tried. It's been great with spaghetti, raviolis, sausage, and meat sauce! (I may even dipped some chicken tenders into it) try it!!

It's not extremely sweet like I remember, and it's pretty full bodied in flavor. I've used this for chili, scrambled eggs, with pasta, and so much more and it still gave all my food that extra kick of flavor every time. Think I'll buy Ragu again, it's much better now!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently had pasta for dinner with Ragu Old World Style traditional pasta sauce and I have to say that I was immediately transported back in time to my childhood and love for Mom's pasta sauce! The bold flavors and chunks of tomatoes are delicious and filling and add just the right touch of old Italy to any pasta. I highly recommend Ragu Old World Style sauce for your next spaghetti night!

I opened a jar of Ragu Traditional sauce tonight to make dinner. Browned 4lbs of ground beef, made the pasta shells, added sauce to the meat... but as I went to move the jar of sauce I saw mold on the inside of the lid and the rim of the jar. Jar was sealed, stored in a pantry away from heat, and has an April 2021 expiration date. This cost me about $20 in ingredients and then we wound up having to order takeout for dinner. Very disappointed.

The ragu traditional sauce used to me bing go to! I didn't like any other pasta sauces nearly as much, but now with the gross "new and improved" olive oil recipie.... it's not even tolerable anymore, there's an overwhelming amount of sugar, onions, and garlic now. Ragu why "fix" something when it's not even broken to begin with?!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this Ragu old world style traditional sauce to use for our spaghetti a few nights ago. It's the perfect pasta sauce! It's smooth and rich with a wonderful tomato flavor. It was a great sauce to go with our spaghetti and meatballs. The kids loved it also. They prefer the smoother sauces over the chunky style. A keeper for our family!

It’s a good, affordable option for quick meals and does the job when you need something simple. The texture is smooth, and the flavor is mild, which makes it easy to customize with your own herbs, spices, or meat. However, on its own, it lacks the richness and depth of flavor you’d get from homemade or higher-end sauces. It’s convenient and reliable but not my top choice for when I want a truly bold and hearty sauce.
