It’s a good, affordable option for quick meals and does the job when you need something simple. The texture is smooth, and the flavor is mild, which makes it easy to customize with your own herbs, spices, or meat. However, on its own, it lacks the richness and depth of flavor you’d get from homemade or higher-end sauces. It’s convenient and reliable but not my top choice for when I want a truly bold and hearty sauce.

I have used this sauce with meatballs, spaghetti, mozzarella sticks, chicken, tortellini, ravioli, shreaded beef and many more.

I used to love the Ragu Old World Style Traditional Sauce.It WAS great. I noticed when I bought the latest jar that it had "now made with olive oil" written on it and I though uh-oh they changed a great product. I decided I would give it a try anyway. I can't believe the olive oil is the only thing that has been changed. It had an incredibly strong taste of garlic and onion, which it did NOT have before. I hadn't eaten but a few bites when I new it was a mistake. I started feeling sick to my stomach. NOT everyone can tolerate strong amounts of garlic and onion. It was a horrible experience. I will NOT be buying a Ragu product again, which is ashame because it used to be so enjoyable. Now, I'll begin the search for another spaghetti sauce that won't make me sick to my stomach. What a HUGE disappointment. Why do companies do that- take a great product and decide they should change something about it - it ALWAYS ruins it.

What happened to the normal traditional sauce? Not sure if we got a bad batch. t was so sour and bland tasting . We all looked at each other and knew we couldn't eat it. We checked exp. date which was fine, 2021. We were afraid to eat it plus it tasted horrible. We threw out our dinner and ordered out. We have been eating the old version for years and years. Probably about 1-2x a week! Can't even find the other Marinara anymore either.

Ragu traditional was the ONLY sauce I would buy. I grew up on it and LOVED it for at least 40 years. For some reason the company changed it, maybe cost cuts? Who knows. But it's now a disgrace. An abomination. Please, please, please bring back the original!!!!!!!! Have a heart, we have been loyal customers, please don't do this!!!!!!!!

I bought this 3-pack of Pasta Sauce last year and everyone loved it. I only have one left and I don't want to have it shipped and I don't want to buy a 3-pack of a different brand without knowing whether I like it or not. When will Sam's get this item back in stock at local Sam's Clubs like in northwest OKC?

What I love most is the perfect balance of sweetness and tang, with just the right amount of seasoning. I chose to make baked spaghetti this time using Ragu, and it was pure perfection. This sauce is very versatile. It can be used as a traditional pasta sauce, used in baked dishes, and many other dishes. Since both of my kids absolutely loved it, i consider it a win. I always keep a couple of jars on hand.
