I've been eating spaghetti with your sauce for as long as I can remember. My children love it. We just had your new "with olive oil" traditional sauce. I thought I had the original, but realized as soon as I took this first bite that something was very wrong! No one ate it. We had to throw out our entire meal. It was horrible! Please get rid of this recipe. There was nothing wrong with it. Why would you change something that was perfect?! If we can't find any more of the original WITHOUT olive oil, then we'll have to find a new sauce. So sad!

I have been using Ragu for years on my spaghetti and lasagna. I love the rich flavor and the wide variety of choices they offer. Ragu is the only thing that my very picky eating kids will even think about eating on their food. Ragu offers quality taste at very affordable prices, and never fails to amaze me.

It stayed on the noodles better than other brands. The delicious richness and tomato flavor is definitely right up there with homemade.

I will buy Ragu again IF you go back to the original recipe for Ragu Traditional and a bunch of people agree with me here. The first thing I noticed was the color was off and I then the taste. I've used it three times and very bland and disappointing which is NOT Ragu. Ragu Old Word Style Traditional has been my go-to sauce for many years and I usually just add a sweet onion. I had to add ketchup to the last batch of spaghetti. Please go back Ragu! Don't be the New Coke!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Ragu old world style sauce to make a beautiful pizza. At least it looked beautiful. The sauce lacks real flavor other than being overly sweet. Doctored up with other herbs and spices, we made due, but truly didn’t care for this sauce. I’m in the camp of the less ingredients the better and this one does hit the mark- the ingredients are simple. I will say, however, that if they wanted to achieve a better flavor they most certainly should have used olive oil instead of soybean oil and cut the sugar completely. The sauce also could have been thicker. The glass jar is nice and with the yellow lid you immediately recognize it as ragu.

My husband and I would use the whole jar with about 2 pounds of spaghetti and now we don't have to. Love love love the individual packs and will tell everyone I know about it!!

Bought a jar of Ragu Old World sauce for the first time in a few years to make lasagna for the first time in a few years and to say my family and I were disappointed is an understatement. The money that I wasted on this after it was all said and done. It was so sweet it tasted like I put a half a cup of sugar in it. Disgusting!! Lasagna isn't supposed to be sweet! Why would you change it?!?!?!?

While the flavor is not overpowering with too many seasonings, it allows a person to eat it as is, like me, or you can add your own ingredients to spice it up a bit. I do like my pasta meaty, so I did add hamburger meat and parm cheese. That was it, and it's totally flavorable enough that me and my family love the traditional sauce of Ragu. I also like using this sauce on bagels to make small cheese like pizzas for my kiddos. I like that it is made with olive oil instead of all of the artificial flavorings. Makes it a healthier sauce too. Great sauce!
