[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this sauce to try and did exactly that. It was good enough, but probably not my absolute favorite. I do tend to make my own pasta sauce but wanted something easy for a weekday. It was good. The kids liked it. Wife and I have had better.

As a mom of a picky boy I was happy to when he finally started eating spaghettis when we mixed with ragu. My grandma always used Ragu and it was also my favorite growing up. Now the new one taste just so different he will not eat it and I totally understand. The taste is off. Make an olive oil option for those who want that but please bring back the actual original for us who love it.

I received a free product coupon for free from Viewpoints for a free jar of Ragu Old World Style Traditional Sauce for a honest review. This sauce is a very basic sauce to use for many different pasta dishes as well as pizza. We used it for a pizza sauce. I ended up adding garlic powder as well as Italian seasoning to the sauce to give it a better flavor. I think it would be a better sauce if they added more spices such as garlic and Italian seasoning to it. It is a better sauce compared to many of the products on the market because they use sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup to sweeten their sauces.I was previously aware of this sauce before purchasing this product and have ate it before in the past. I would recommend this sauce to anyone that is interested in tasting a very simple sauce that tastes good.

But does it save my butt when I need dinner on the table in 20 minutes and still want it to feel like a meal? 100% yes. I've been eating traditional Ragu since I was a kid (I'm 53 now). This is horrific. It has a sharp, acid flavor, more like a tomato soup then a slow cooked sauce. I've judged every sauce I've ever made or tried against the old style Ragu, I loved that flavor. This is how you kill a brand.

This is actually the kids favorite one too beside the meat sauce. I warmed it up in a saucepan and it was delish over the pasta. Thank you!

This sauce is just okay. I wouldn't get it again. My kids didn't seem to mind it too much. My husband and I didn't like it at all. It was far too sweet and didn't have any sort of rich flavors. It just has a very cheap and boring flavor. In order to make it taste close to homemade I'd have to do far too many things to doctor it up. I'd rather just get a better sauce or spend the time to make one from scratch.
