I am a 43 year old Autistic woman. Regular Ragu Old World Traditional has always been my go to sauce. I don’t add anything. Just sauce and noodles. The last time I fixed myself some spaghetti, it tasted different (not in a good way) and the texture of the sauce was greasy. I looked at the jar and it said “now with olive oil”. I thought maybe it was just a new option, but no. It’s a replacement and I am devastated. My old sauce has been there for me my whole life. When no other food sounds good, I could always count on Ragu Traditional sauce and some pasta. You guys took it away. Not everything needs to be new and improved! If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! If you want to make this with olive oil, then be my guest, but give me my old sauce back! I did notice a slight change in the flavor and thickness several years ago (when you started touting that it had a half serving of vegetables in each cup or something), but it was easily doctored with a little extra water added and a dash of salt. Not exactly like the product I’ve always loved, but close enough that I did not complain. You think people won’t notice when you change things, but we do. This newest version is a deal breaker for me. I’m devastated. I know that sounds dramatic, but this is very important to me. Please bring the old recipe back as an option!!

While the taste hasn’t really changed over the years, I personally prefer a chunkier, more flavorful sauce. The Traditional Ragu feels a bit too bland and flat on its own, and I found myself needing to add extra ingredients like sausage and seasoning to bring it to life. Straight from the jar, it doesn’t quite deliver the richness I look for in a pasta sauce. I probably wouldn’t purchase the Traditional variety again, but I’d be interested in trying some of Ragu’s chunkier or heartier options to see if they better match my taste. The Ragu is a perfect dipping sauce for them. But this sauce is great for all sorts of pasta dishes as well. Been using Ragu for years for its affordable and reliable taste. I would recommend giving this variety a try!

It has an excellent delicate texture and a wonderful aroma. I like its real tomato taste. The products are made of high quality. Packed in a glass jar with bright yellow labels. The lid fits tightly and twists. Use it to cook your dishes, such as soups, pasta, stewed vegetables with meat and so on. A versatile sauce that goes well with almost all dishes, especially for tomato lovers.

I bought this 3-pack of Pasta Sauce last year and everyone loved it. I only have one left and I don't want to have it shipped and I don't want to buy a 3-pack of a different brand without knowing whether I like it or not. When will Sam's get this item back in stock at local Sam's Clubs like in northwest OKC?

I have bought Ragu Traditional sauce for more then 25yrs. Always loved it with ground beef and added spices of my own. This last time I did not see that it was made with olive oil. My spaghetti now smells rancid and I’m unwilling to feed this to my husband and dinner guests. Absolutely unexceptionable, please tell me the old brand has not been discontinued.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sauce has a very nice texture, it tastes strongly of real tomatoes and isn't overly garlicy, I added more since I love garlic. It can definitely be used on pizza too, although it may be more watery than what one may be used to. I was quite impressed with the packaging when it arrived and that it comes in glass instead of plastic. The only thing I don't love, and the reason for my one star reduction is the soybean oil, I personally can taste it a bit too.

The ragu traditional sauce used to me bing go to! I didn't like any other pasta sauces nearly as much, but now with the gross "new and improved" olive oil recipie.... it's not even tolerable anymore, there's an overwhelming amount of sugar, onions, and garlic now. Ragu why "fix" something when it's not even broken to begin with?!
