We bought this before a camping trip. We filled it about 2/3rds full with several bags of ice (smaller bags) and put our food in it. We left it in the back of my truck (uncovered) for at least 3 days. We also have my 8 year old, ripping on the side, Coleman Extreme Cooler which we opened more than this Igloo Maxcold. The Coleman Extreme promises 5 days of keeping the ice. The older Coleman out-performed the newer Igloo Maxcold (this product) easily by several days. When we got home, we did not have time to wash the coolers, but we put both of them in the house. The next day, after work, we took both coolers out to wash them. The Maxcold Igloo was about room temperature. The Coleman Extreme? It was cool inside, and STILL had a few ice cubes in the bags! Wow, wasn't expecting that. We have already returned this cooler, and will only buy the Coleman Extremes which advertise 5 days, not 7 days like this cooler.

This ice chest is beyond disappointing! It does not hold ice at all! We filled ours with cold sodas, a gallon of milk, then filled it with 60 pounds of ice and by the next day it was all water, and it was kept inside of our toy hauler where the temperature didn't reach over 80 degrees at most! I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy! I told my husband that I think it works about as well as a storage tub! Don't waste your money like I did!

The Plug leaked

We bought this cooler less than a year ago and used it only a few times. The third time we used it the tabs on the back broke/snapped off. We went to a local store and purchased replacement hinges and put thsoe on. Over the holidays we were preparing to use it again and the one of the front tabs broke off. I am writing Igloo now and hope for a resolution. Very disappointed in this one. Our previous Igloo (same size) was finally replaced after 15+ years !

Bought this cooler for the Thanksgiving Holiday, intending to use it afterwards on our fishing boat. We were skeptical about its performance given the low price but it outperformed our expectations. After four days of the cooler sitting on back porch in Florida sun, hardly any ice had melted, and drinks were ice cold! Would highly recommend buying.
