Only vitamin I trust for treatment of my macular degeneration. Other brands compare themselves to AREDS but if you check the label you will find theirs are all lacking in strength.

I found that they tablets were all stuck together and a yellow film inside the bottle once the foil was removed. I had to shake/tap the bottle each time to loosen the tablets. I must return them. It’s never happened any other time.

We were extremely disappointed. Our Eye Surgeon recommended that both My wife and I begin taking them. However , the pills in the last container ,after being open a month or so , became slimy and while discoloring our hands also made us sick . Since they are so expensive, if this container produces the same effect we will discontinue them and have a conversation with our eye Dr.

Our eye doctor has prescribed PreserVision AREDS2 for us for years. It tends to be pretty expensive at the drugstore, so finding it available at Sam's Club is a real boon. The 210 count lasts twice as long as the largest drugstore bottle and the price per capsule is always cheaper at Sam's Club. It's an excellent value whether on sale or just regular on the shelf.

I have dry Macular Degeneration (MD) and my eye doctor wanted me to begin using Areds 2 every day, twice a day. It has been several years since I started taking this supplement and the MD is still dry and not getting any worse. If you are diagnosed with MD start right away. As someone who has had vision problems all of my life, I'm grateful that this product is working in my favor. I don't know if this product can be used as a preventative or only if there is a diagnosed medical problem. I would not take any medication before discussing it with a doctor you have confidence in.
